The Queensbridge rapper and mogul just release the visual for “Wave Gods” and it features A$AP Rocky, DJ Premier and Hit-Boy. The track has Nas touting him and Hit-Boy are the new Gang Starr, and the endearing way its delivered, and DJ Premier on the cuts, means its said with all respect for the Hip-Hop legends. Related Stories The video includes plenty of NYC imagery, from Queens to Harlem, and the subway, and was directed by  A$AP Rocky and Hidji of AWGE along with Spike Jordan. Pete Rock reportedly told Page Six that he’s never received a dime in royalties from his work on Illmatic, which was released in 1994. The Mt. Vernon producer and rapper produced only one track on the project, but “The World Is Yours” proved to be one of the album’s standout joints and singles. Related Stories However, Rock and his lawyers say they cut a deal with Nas that would net him millions in royalties, which he has yet to ever see. Nas Locks In With Hit-Boy With New ‘Magic’ Project, Twitter Is In Awe

HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Andrew Lichtenstein / Getty Nas is one of a handful of Hip-Hop artists who has nothing to prove to anyone and has classics in his discography to prove it. The Queensbridge living legend ends 2021 on an extremely high note alongside his cohort Hit-Boy with a new project Magic, a fitting name for a potent body of work. With an album of the year contender in King’s Disease II releasing earlier this year, the artist born Nasir Jones could’ve rested until next year but it’s apparent he and Hit-Boy have a fantastic working relationship. Magic counts as Nas’ 15th album and, without any hyperbole, it’s fair to say that this is one of the year’s best releases across all genres. Save for the entertaining “Wave Gods” featuring A$AP Rocky and DJ Premier, Nas ca...
