Rian Johnson Reveals Title of Knives Out Sequel
With the much-anticipated sequel to 2019’s Knives Out expected out later this year, writer and director Rian Johnson has revealed its title: Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. In the Twitter thread announcing the title, Johnson also shared how he was inspired by Agatha Christie’s work while working on the sequel. “Something I love about Agatha Christie is how she never tread water creatively,” he wrote. “I think there’s a misperception that her books use the same formula over and over, but fans know the opposite is true. Netflix has officially renewed Squid Game for a second season. In a message accompanying the news, Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk confirmed that both Gi-hun and the Front Man would return for Season 2. “The man in the suit with ddakji might be back. You’ll also be introduced to Young-hee’s boyfriend, Cheol-su,” Hwang further teased. Season one of Squid Game centers on a contest in which participants, all in deep financial debt, play children’s games in an attempt to win a huge cash prize.
