This record was made with all of us playing together in the same room after being away from each other for a long time. To me, it sounds like a bunch of people who love each other excited ...

Today, their full body of work—which is dedicated to Fulton’s memory—has arrived via iconic dance music imprint Anjunadeep. Through each of the album’s 11 aching tracks, Leaving Laurel expertly convey the chemistry Fulton and Huntley shared stemming from their longstanding friendship. Rich, colorful textures shine brightly on the record, layered with lush, spellbinding pads and crisp percussive elements. One of the most impressive aspects of the album is how well each of its songs flow. Each sounds like it was made to be placed after the other to tell a story as part of ...

After 10 years together, our greatest instrument is each other. The purest expression of Parquet Courts is when we are improvising. “Sympathy For Life is influenced by the party itself,” he added. You can hear the first officially released song, “Walking at a Downtown Pace,” and watch a video directed by Daniel Arnold. Co-frontman A Savage says the clip ...

The kind of challenge she likes best! Part of why this album was so FUN to make was that I got to explore these tropes of people seeking wellness, enlightenment or even utopia. “ Here’s what else Lorde had to say about the song in a lengthy statement. “This is a song I am very excited about, it’s so much fun to me. Obviously when making this album I did a deep-dive into 60s, Flower Child culture. I wanted to under...
