Even for the most diehard fans of Pawnee, Indiana’s thriving rock scene, it’s been quite some time since the world last heard from Scott Tanner, the enigmatic frontman of one of the most popular bands in the city’s history, Land Ho! But today, the talented singer and guitarist who bears more than a passing resemblance to Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy re-emerged for the first time since the band’s reunion at 2014’s Pawnee/Eagleton Unity Concert with a brand new track, “Cold Water.” Of course, some may remember the group from their brief appearances on the documentary series Parks and Recreation, which makes sense considering that the new track from Tanner will appear exclusively on Mouse Rat’s new album, The Awesome Album (Aug. 27 via Dualtone Music Group and Entertainment 720). But A...
On Monday, Tyler, the Creator dropped a 40-second teaser trailer on his social media platforms, which most assumed meant new music (or something new) was on the way. Now, it has arrived in the form of a new song. Titled “LUMBERJACK,” the song is Tyler’s first proper release since 2019’s Igor. Check out the song and its teaser trailer below. [embedded content] [embedded content] As you can see in the teaser, the phrase “Call Me If You Get Lost” appears as it did in the original “Side Street” clip. As of now, what that means remains to be seen. But it seems like new music is on the way. Tyler will be performing at Lollapalooza next month and Outside Lands in October. Last year, Tyler appeared in a Gucci ad with Iggy Pop and A$AP Rocky, got his own ice cream...
It’s been a busy year for Meet Me @ The Altar, and it’s about to get a whole lot busier. Hot off their recent discussion with All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth, the band just released a brand new single called “Feel A Thing” while also announcing their new EP, Model Citizen, which will be out on August 13 via Fueled By Ramen. And if that wasn’t enough, the act that we declared one of the best rock bands on the planet last year, will also be going on tour with some huge names later this year. Late August and September see them opening on the recently-announced tour co-headlined by The Used and Coheed and Cambria, while October features a week with nothing, nowhere. before they hit the road with their buddy Gaskarth and the rest of All Time Low all the way into November. Check out the new vi...
If you’ve ever thought that the Killers, despite the glitz and glam of their sound, owe a thing or two to Bruce Springsteen, you’re not incorrect. In fact, it’s something we noted on our review of Imploding the Mirage last August. But, joining forces? That seemed unlikely, however, that is (after a week of teasing) exactly what happened. Springsteen and the Killers unveiled “Dustland,” a new song released together. The song is a reworking of “A Dustland Fairytale” from the Killers’ 2008 album Day & Age, and is one that the Boss has said is his favorite from the band. You don’t need me to describe the sound of the song, you can a) use your imagination or b) listen below (which if you’re reading this, are probably going to do anyway). If you’re wondering how it all went down, let Brandon...

Since first stepping foot into the world of dance music in the early 90s, renowned producer and entrepreneur Destructo has done it all. From DJing at the world’s largest music festivals to helming the fabled All My Friends brand to founding the fabled HARD series, Destructo changes the game with each venture. His latest musical release finds him dropping a collaborative single with fellow electronic music superstar TroyBoi. Their new song “You’re The One For Me” is a feel-good, summertime bop reminiscent of Destructo’s childhood in New Orleans. With a disco-influenced rhythm and melody, the track perfectly fuses funk and house into a unique blend. The single also arrived alongside an official music video directed by...
In January, Deorro began releasing singles for his forthcoming Latin crossover album ORRO. He kicked things off with “Me Siento Bien” alongside Kura and Alex Rose, followed by “Si Tú No Estás Aquí” with LÚA and “Ponte Pa’ Mi” with Jon Z. Today he returns with Grammy winners Elvis Crespo and IAmChino for “Napoleona.” As the second collaboration between Deorro and Crespo, adding IAmChino to the mix has helped create an instant staple for each artist. Just like his previous releases from ORRO, “Napoleona” is the perfect balance between Latin and electronic music. The vibrant, horn-led beat makes use of energetic, organic percussion to accompany Crespo’s unmistakable voca...
After previewing their collaboration during the United Nations Virtual Launch Gala, Don Diablo and Ty Dolla $ign shared a snippet “Too Much To Ask” via Twitter. Today their track has arrived by way of the former’s HEXAGON imprint. Although the collaboration may be an unlikely pairing, “Too Much To Ask” is all we could ask for and more from the two. The track ditches Diablo’s signature future house sound, instead adopting a downtempo, laid-back feel to accompany Dolla $ign’s silky voice. Proceeds from streaming will benefit the United Nations Environmental Programme and Justdiggit’s #StreamToRegreen campaign, as the nonprofit will regreen one square meter of land for every 25 streams. Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon has embraced electronic music in full force over the past three years, releasing numerous singles and amassing millions of plays in that time. Today he returns alongside OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder for their new collaboration “Learn To Love Me.” Solomon has quickly developed a strong production skill set and “Learn To Love Me” puts his chops on full display. The pop-tinged progressive house track makes use of acoustic guitar riffs and organic percussion, meshing effortlessly with the signature tenor of the Grammy-winning Tedder. “Ryan is an incredible talent and he’s worked with some of my favorite artists,” Solomon said in a statement. “I loved his work on Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso’s ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)’...
With her previous release of the immaculate “Nervous Habits” still riding on a wave of success, GG Magree has returned to Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records with another explosive single called “Loving You Kills Me.” The new single pulls influence from multiple genres, melding rock and trap to create another signature GG Magreetune. The scene opens up with a nostalgic guitar riff as Magree’s heartfelt vocals radiate through the mix, telling the story of loving someone so much to the point it hurts. As the song progresses, a heavy bass drop rattles in, electrifying the arrangement and bringing with it a darker, grittier edge to an otherwise romantic narrative. Reunited and it feels so good. Skrillex and Poo Bear, who famously linked up in summer 2017 for their collaborative hit “Would You Ever,” have reunited for a stunning new song called “The Day You Left.” The single finds Poo Bear leading the charge with Skrillex on the production. “The Day You Left” is a melancholic slice of future R&B from the two longtime collaborators and friends. With hypnotic vocal chops that flutter over a resounding low end, the track sounds like a more tame twist on Skrillex’s “Mumbai Power,” his summer 2019 festival hit released alongside Beam. Listen to the new track below. “Would You Ever” went on to become an international hit after its release in July 2017. Skrillex and Poo Bear also wor...
Unidisc Records is one of Canada’s largest independent record labels. Having been in the industry since 1977, they’ve established an extensive collection of music over the years while continuously learning how to evolve. Earlier this year Unidisc launched a “Reimagining Campaign,” enlisting a number of dance music luminaries to modernize the imprint’s timeless classics. Francis Cucuzzella—the son of founder George Cucuzzella—came up with the idea as a way to “pay homage to the artists who shaped dance music and those spreading it today globally.” Arguably the greatest producers in the world have been tapped in to reimagine classic hits from Unidisc’s back catalog. So far the campaign has included show-stopping remixes from Claptone,...
