The "Queen of Bounce", Big Freedia, announced that she will soon be opening a new hotel in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. The "Hotel Freedia" is slated to be a hotel, restaurant, music venue, and clubhouse located near the popular Frenchman Street. DaBaby Finds NOLA Show Canceled, Low Ticket Sales To Blame?

The show was reportedly canceled due to very low ticket sales, but there is a bit of dispute over the cause. According to reports, the “Red Light Green Light” rapper was slated to do a concert at the Smoothie King Center on Friday (September 2nd). He was to be the headliner of a bill that featured Euell “7th Ward Shorty” Sylvester. Sylvester and his business partner, Greg Pulver, were promoting the show through their 70/30 and Clear Bizness Entertainment companies. Jermani Thompson was unloading a Frontier Airlines plane when her hair got entangled, according to a report from the New York Daily News. The young woman was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead.  “We are heartbroken and are supporting her family and her friends as best as we are able. Buku Music + Art Project Announces Indefinite Hiatus

BUKU Music + Art Project has announced an indefinite hiatus. Organizers of the beloved New Orleans festival have issued a statement on social media announcing that its 2023 iteration will not move forward.
