He claims that the Cherries are yet to accept or reject the offer, as they want Matt Ritchie from the Magpies. Downie feels that at this moment, it seems difficult for them to do a deal for Ritchie. He adds that Bournemouth have not made a bid for Ritchie yet. The separate move from Newcastle has come today after the Cherries rejected a bid from Villa yesterday. Report: Ligue1 striker’s agents offer him to Ancelotti & NUFC as Fulham’s bid is rejected

According to Foot Mercato (via GFFN), Lyon have rejected Fulham’s first bid for Bertrand Traore as they are holding out for £22 million. The Ligue 1 outfit are looking to sell the Burkina Faso international this summer, and his agents have also offered him to Newcastle United, Everton and Crystal Palace. However, the trio are yet to show serious interest in Traore and haven’t made a move for him. While Newcastle have also watched him, it remains to be seen if they will make a move. They currently have only Andy Carroll as their fit striker heading into th...

Premier League terminate £490 million TV deal in China

The Premier League has terminated its TV rights deal with China, its biggest overseas contract, leaving a huge hole in clubs’ finances. The deal with Chinese broadcaster PPTV was worth around £490m and had lasted only one of its three years. The conflict is said to have been around a fee of £160m that the Premier League was owed in March but did not receive. “The Premier League confirms that it has today terminated its agreements for Premier League coverage in China with its licensee in that territory,” a spokesman said on Thursday. “The Premier League will not be commenting further on the matter at this stage.” It is not known if the conflict is based purely on money or involves the escalating political tensions between China and the UK government. Boris Johnson announced in July that Hua...

Report: Celtic keen on 26-yr-old versatile attacker who is wanted by Newcastle

Celtic are keen on signing Ryan Fraser this summer. The 26-year-old’s contract with Bournemouth expired earlier this summer and he is a free agent right now. The midfielder has been linked with quite a few Premier League clubs but Celtic are not prepared to give up on the chase just yet as per reports (h/t Daily Record). It will be interesting to see if Neil Lennon can lure the player to Scotland in the coming weeks. Celtic could use some extra creativity in their midfield and Fraser should prove to be a fantastic addition. The former Bournemouth star has proven his quality in the Premier League and he should be able to make an immediate impact in the Scottish Premiership if he moves to Celtic. On a free transfer, it would be a no brainer and Celtic must do everything in their power to con...

According to Chronicle Live’s Lee Ryder, Newcastle United are currently searching for a left-back, and Manchester City’s Angelino is on their radar. However, the Etihad Stadium outfit value him around £25 million, realistically putting him out of Newcastle’s reach. The Spaniard spent the second-half of last season on loan at RB Leipzig, featuring in 18 games across all competitions, scoring once and assisting four others to help them reach the semi-finals of the Champions League. Barcelona are also interested in the services of the 23-year-old as his future appears to be away from Man. City, and it’s hard to see Newcastle beating them to his signature. Leipzig also want to retain Angelino’s services, and Magpies’ boss Steve Bruce has to look elsewhere for the left-back he wants. They have ...
