Rob Schneider is encouraging his followers to not get vaccinated, and even though the Biden administration has consistently declined to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations, the former SNL and Deuce Bigalow, Male Gigalo star wants you to know that he’d be willing to shoot people, if such a requirement existed. The comedian-turned-conspiracy theorist encouraged these anti-vax sentiments in a post on social media. He re-tweeted a story about inoculated people requiring booster shots and added the comment, “Just say no… And keep saying no… Over Half of the US population is continuing to say no to this unapproved experimental gene therapy!” He then utilized the pro-choice slogan, “‘My body, my choice!” and ended with a reminder that he has guns and will use them with the hashtag #...
After 48 hours, “Three Lions” was the second-most streamed song with 2.17 million plays, and the fourth most downloaded song of the week so far, according to the OCC. Meanwhile, Atomic Kitten’s “Southgate You’re The One (Football’s Coming Home Again),” a reworking of their 2001 chart-leader “Whole Again,” lifts to No. 10 on the chart blast. If it holds its momentum when the Official U.K. Singles Chart is published this Friday, it would give the pop outfit their first Top 40 single in 16 years. With England losing a nailbiter to Italy, expect the frenzy for football songs to cool dramatically in the days ahead. In other chart news, London rapper Dave’s “Clash” featuring Brit Award-winner Stormzy is on track for the highest debut, at No. 4; while BTS’s latest “Permission to Dance” is cl...
Additionally, the music publishing giant strikes a worldwide deal to represent the song catalog of Harry Vanda, George Young, and Stevie Wright. “We are pleased to join forces with Alberts to deliver new opportunities for AC/DC and Vanda, Young and Wright,” comments Sony Music Publishing chairman and CEO Jon Platt. David Albert and the Alberts team, he continues, “are leaders in shaping Australia’s modern music culture, and our shared ethos will be powerful in sustaining the global impact of these iconic catalogs.” AC/DC signed with the family-owned Alberts back in 1974 and they’ve been back in black ever since. The Rock Hall-inducted band has released 17 studio albums, including 2020’s Power Up, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, their third leader. With that LP, AC/DC bec...
Ariana Grande and new husband Dalton Gomez have kept things pretty low-key and out of the spotlight so far. But on Sunday (July 11), Grande, 28, pulled back the curtain a bit on their married life with a series of pictures from the couple’s honeymoon in Amsterdam. The couple, who got married in May, look pretty cute in one snap as they snuggle into a pair of giant wooden shoes while rocking black face masks. That’s a rare couple pic in the series, which also includes a picture of Grande reflected in a window, a video of a riled-up goose, Dalton from above, some potted succulents, windmills, of course, the controls of a boat, a ladybug sipping water and a beautiful view of a canal at night. “We can’t thank you enough for your prayers, support, and unending love,” the post said. “You have walked with us through this very difficult journey and we felt you there the entire way. We love you so much and we thank you for the support. At this time the family has requested that you respect their time together and allow them to receive some much needed rest. Please hold off on reaching out with texts and phone calls for a few days.” Casting Crowns first told fans of Williams’ accident on June 27, when they wrote, “Our friend & former drummer, Andy Williams, was in a motorcycle accident this morning and really need your prayers!” On Friday, the group posted a video of Williams drumming as a tribute to their late bandmate. “We love you...

Justin Timberlake made an impressive shot across the golf course. Although he was there to play golf — as part of a celebrity charity event, the 2021 American Century Championship, in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada — the pop star apparently took a moment to shoot a basketball straight into a hoop from quite a far distance, to wild applause. “Shots between holes @acchampionship #accgolf,” Timberlake captioned the clip, which he posted Sunday (July 11) on Instagram. The rock legends’ career retrospective enjoys a spike thanks to a 40th anniversary reissue campaign. According to the charts compiler, 78% of Queen’s final total during the week was made up of physical sales (vinyl, CD and cassette) with Greatest Hits the best-selling vinyl album of the chart week. Elsewhere on the tally, Jack Savoretti’s Europiana (EMI) is the week’s best-seller on downloads, despite dipping 1-4, while Bo Burnham’s Inside (The Songs) (via Imperial) lifts 6-5, a new peak. Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie and French artist Jehnny Beth score a No. 12 debut with their collaborative effort Utopian Ashes (Sony Music CG). It’s Gillespie’s 13th Top 40 appearance, the first as a solo artist, and it’s Beth’s first appearance in the upper reaches of the chart. Over on the...
As the director and star of the pop band comedy film That Thing You Do!, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Tom Hanks has an affinity for music. To celebrate his 65th birthday on Friday, the beloved actor assembled an hour-long DJ set of rock ’n’ roll deep cuts for Boss Radio 66, an independent online radio station. For fans of ‘50s and ‘60s rock ‘n’ roll — or those who just have an affinity for Americana nostalgia in general — Hanks’ DJ set is a delight that testifies to his extensive knowledge of the era. His set extends far beyond the Elvis and Buddy Holly classics we’ve all come to know and love, making a great opportunity for some deep discoveries. “It’s gonna be a bitchin’ year! 66! A bitchin’ year!” Hanks jokes near the end of the episode, which was produced Johnny “Big Hand” Bart...
