A year and a half after the release of her third album, Manic, Halsey dropped a big bombshell — and it’s not just that her fourth album is on the way. The pop star’s upcoming collection will be produced by none other than Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, aka the reigning Best Original Score Oscar winners (along with Jon Baptiste) for their work on Soul. There isn’t yet a date for release for the LP, but it does have a title: If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power. Billboards for the release popped up in select cities on Monday morning, and Halsey herself shared the news on Instagram along with a snippet of a song, available below. As you can hear in the clip, whatever song that may be sounds dark, menacing and cinematic — exactly what you’d expect from a Reznor/Ross product...
Yet another controversy has roped in Courtney Love but this time in a small online skirmish over artistic thievery aimed at a photo for ascending pop singer Olivia Rodrigo’s recent livestream of her debut album, Sour. Love accused Rodrigo of ripping off Hole’s 1994 Live Through This album art, without permission or notice, to add insult to injury. At first, it wasn’t that way. On Thursday, Love posted the Rodrigo photo resembling the Hole album on Instagram with a playful jab of a caption: “Spot the difference! #twinning! @oliviarodrigo 😉👸👸” Commenting on it shortly after Love’s post, Rodrigo cleverly responded with “love u and live through this sooooo much,” pretty much conceding to either finding inspiration in it or straight stealing it outright. It’s u...

The film, titled Paper Heart, will be written by Jennifer Erwin. “It’s an honor to have the trust to tell Scott’s story and the ability to portray the lesser known sides of him – the loving and tender man he was, the high school athlete he was, the melancholy soul he was and the legendary frontman that he will always be,” Erwin said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “Scott was glamorous, complicated and wounded. His childhood had a big effect on his struggles with addiction,” Dark Pictures’ Anne Beagan told THR ...

Fred Flintstone and a menagerie of dinosaurs can stay on the lawn of the landmark Flintstone House, thanks to a settlement between owner Florence Fang and the ultra-wealthy Bay Area town of Hillsborough. As reported by Palo Alto’s Daily Post, Fang will receive $125,000 as part of the terms of the settlement agreement and will be allowed to keep the changes she made to the property, including large metal dinosaurs, life-sized sculptures of Flintstones characters, and a “Yabba Dabba Do” sign. In March 2019, Hillsborough filed a complaint calling the outdoor decorations “a highly visible eyesore and are out of keeping with community standards” after Fang didn’t adhere to three stop-work orders. It was during the latter when Cardi B popped out in a skin-tight outfit that prominently showcased her healthy baby bump. Toting a gut full of Offset seed didn’t stop her from a spirited performance and even dropping it low. Ever social media savvy, minutes after the performance Bardi posted a photo of herself in the nude, save for the white mold covering her breasts and baby bump. “#2! @OffsetYRN,” she wrote for the ...
