“I’ve already recorded it,” Sheeran revealed on the U.K. radio chart show, in reply to the inquiry about “Everything Has Changed.” And then Sheeran added, “Taylor’s got a few surprises in store for you, I’ll say that.” Before Red was originally released in 2012, the pair both implied there was at least one more as-yet-unheard song from their Red-era session. Sony Music Japan Launches Hub for Remixes of Anime and Video Game Theme Songs

EDM and video games go together like peanut butter and jelly—and their relationship is about to get a whole lot cozier with the newly rebranded “Sakura Chill Beats” YouTube channel. Launched this month by Sony Music Japan, the first-of-its-kind project will be a hub for official electronic remixes of anime and video game theme songs, with new selections available every Saturday at 1AM PT (4AM ET).  The first track released on Sakura Chill Beats was RetroVision‘s remix of “Ashiato -Footprints-” by the peggies, out June 19th. Jon Hassell, Famed Avant-Garde Composer, Dies at 84

Jon Hassell, the influential composer and trumpet player who pioneered the “fourth world” has died at the age of 84. His family confirmed the news of his death in a statement on his social media platforms. “After a little more than a year of fighting through health complications, Jon died peacefully in the early morning hours of natural causes,” Hassell’s family wrote. In April 2020, a GoFundMe page was set up to help the composer and, as his family said in the statement of his death, the donations “will allow the tremendous personal archive of his music, much unreleased, to be preserved and shared with the world for years to come.” The Fourth World was described by Hassell as “a unified primitive/futuristic sound combining features of world ethnic styles with advanced electronic technique...
