The NFL’s Los Angeles Rams are getting new neighbors. Adjacent to the football team’s SoFi stadium will be the new Performance Venue at Hollywood Park. Hollywood Park, a nearly 300-acre sports and entertainment destination, and Live Nation have partnered in an exclusive multi-year booking agreement for its brand new 6,000-seat performance venue in Inglewood, California. The mixed-use area is being developed by Angeles Rams owner and chairman Stan Kroenke and will be adjacent to American Airlines Plaza. “The Performance Venue at Hollywood Park is a sophisticated, intimate venue that will host a wide range of world-class events, including celebrated musicians, immersive entertainment, and close-knit community gatherings,...
“No Putx,” which becomes the first Pride Latin Spotify Exclusive Single, is a new take on Molotov’s 1997 rock anthem “Puto,” in which they use the infamous “p–o” chants to critique Mexican politicians. The new track is Georgel’s gift to his fans for Pride Month, which he tells Billboard he’ll sing “fiercely and loudly!” In honor Pride month, the Mexican singer kicks off our series on how coming out has impacted Latin artists’ art and how they will be celebrating Pride this year. How did the decision to come out impact your art? I came out to my highly unusual Mexican family pretty early on when I was about 17. I showed up holding hands with a boy and my parents said, “Well, I guess we are all going to ...
The Recording Academy and MusiCares — its charitable arm providing health, financial, and rehabilitation resources to music workers in times of need — each made a $1 million base donation to kick off the fund last March. By one month later in April 2020, funds had been depleted. Now, the fund is once again open to music professionals who have had at least three years of employment in the music industry, or six commercially released recordings or videos. Anyone who has already received assistance from the fund is eligible to apply again. Once the final funds are distributed, MusiCares says it will continue to support the music community through “existing and new mental health and hardship grant programs and virtual support groups, among other programs.” MusiCar...

Jose Mourinho revealed he “prayed” and “cried” for Christian Eriksen after the Denmark star collapsed during Saturday’s Euro 2020 clash against Finland. Inter midfielder Eriksen suffered cardiac arrest when collapsing on the pitch before being resuscitated, Denmark’s team doctor Morten Boesen said. Eriksen was given CPR by medics in the first half of the Group B match after falling to the ground with no other player around him – the fixture was originally suspended, but the former Tottenham star was later confirmed to be “awake” and the game resumed a little under two hours later, with Finland winning 1-0 in Copenhagen. Ex-Tottenham head coach Mourinho spent time with Eriksen prior to the Denmark international’s move to Inter in 2020 and the Roma-bound boss said he was reduced to tears. “I...
On June 10, 2021, Elon Musk formally kicked off deliveries of the 1,020-hp Tesla Model S Plaid. Approximately two days later, on June 12, Unplugged Performance debuted its race-prepped Model S Plaid that’s set to compete at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (with our resident pro racing driver, Randy Pobst, behind the wheel). You might remember that at last year’s race Pobst had a little moment and unexpectedly flew the Unplugged Performance Model 3 off the course. In a feat of determination, the Unplugged Performance team rebuilt the car overnight, and Pobst placed second in the exhibition class—and in a car with only half its horsepower! What Is It? Unplugged Performance’s Plaid racecar uses the stock powertrain from the top-line Model S. The interior is almo...
“Oh, yeah, I’ll be there. My album will be out by then,” the superstar rapper said. Certified Lover Boy, Drake’s sixth album, was originally scheduled for release in January. That month, he took to his Instagram Stories to announce that the album would be postponed to a later date. “I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” he wrote. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet and feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January.” In early March, Drake — who was named Artist of the Decade at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards — held fans over by releasing the three-song Scary Hours 2 project, featuring guest appearances by...
