Megan Thee Stallion Drops New Single “Thot Shit”: Stream

Megan Thee Stallion has unveiled her latest single, “Thot Shit”, and its accompanying music video. “Thot Shit” sees the rapper step back into her Tina Snow alter ego, which she first introduced in her breakout 2018 EP of the same name. According to a press release, the song “celebrates women unapologetically enjoying themselves, doing whatever they want, whenever they want, regardless of what the critics have to say.” Meanwhile, in the song’s video Megan seemingly responds to her critics by enacting her revenge on a conservative senator. Sleater-Kinney have released their new album Path of Wellness. Stream it below on Apple Music and Spotify. The band’s 10th LP follows 2019’s The Center Won’t Hold and includes previously released singles “Worry With You”, “High in the Grass”, and “Method”. After working with St. Vincent’s Annie Clark on their previous album, Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker opted to self-produce the new 11-track LP themselves. Clairo Announces New Album Sling, Shares “Blouse”: Stream

On the heels of her collaboration with Lorde, Clairo has now announced her own new album and released the first single. Entitled Sling, Clairo’s sophomore full-length will arrive on July 16th through FADER Label/Republic Records. It serves as the follow-up to 2019’s Immunity. Jeff Ament to Release New Solo Album I Should Be Outside

Last year, Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament released a rapid-fire, five songs in seven minutes EP last summer in a flurry of creative energy that overtook him after Pearl Jam’s Gigaton tour was pushed due to the pandemic. He told us at the time that he was working on a lot of music back then, in particular, that five songs on American Death Squad were written in the first week of quarantine when Ament says he got into “Bob Pollard mode” and just cranked out tunes. It turns out he wasn’t kidding. Ament is set to release the soon-to-be post-COVID appropriate I Should Be Outside, his fourth proper solo, album on August 10. The Lord of the Rings franchise is expanding with a new anime movie titled The War of the Rohirrim. New Line Cinema is teaming with Warner Bros. Animation to produce the new addition to J. R. R. Tolkien’s fantasy world. The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim will be directed by anime veteran Kenji Kamiyama, who helmed the TV series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Blade Runner: Black Lotus. Kamiyama’s frequent collaborator Joseph Chou is set to produce. The script is penned by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, who created Netflix’s Emmy-winning series, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Metallica File Insurance Suit Against Lloyd’s of London for Losses Suffered from Pandemic-Postponed Shows

Metallica have sued insurance marketplace Lloyd’s of London in an effort to be compensated for losses the band suffered as a result of postponing its South American tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The lawsuit was filed on Monday (June 7th) in Los Angeles Superior Court. The legendary heavy metal band had planned to embark on a six-date tour of South America with support from Greta Van Fleet in April 2020, but the pandemic shut down the concert industry a month prior. Metallica rescheduled the shows for December 2020, but with the pandemic still going strong, those dates were also postponed. At the time, the band said it hoped to reschedule the shows for late 2021, but no new dates have been announced yet.
