First Women-Only Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp to Feature Melissa Etheridge, Heart’s Nancy Wilson, and More
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp has announced its first-ever Women Only Rock Camp, scheduled to take place in Los Angeles over the weekend of the Grammy Awards, January 27th through 30th, 2022. Headlining mentors set for the camp include Melissa Etheridge, Heart’s Nancy Wilson, Kathy Valentine of the Go-Go’s, and virtuoso guitarist Orianthi. Other mentors include Rhonda Smith (Prince, Jeff Beck), Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson), Eva Gardner (Pink, Cher), Ginger Pooley (Smashing Pumpkins, Gwen Stefani) and Jennie Vee (Eagles of Death Metal), with more to be announced. On top of the musicians, the crew and staff of the camp will be composed entirely of women, and multidisciplinary guest speakers will appear from different facets of the music industry. New Album from Tyler, the Creator Teased on Mysterious Website and Billboard
According to sleuths on Reddit, a mysterious new website (CallMeIfYouGetLost.com) and accompanying billboard seem to be teasing an upcoming album from Tyler, the Creator. Both the site and the marquee include the words “Call Me If You Get Lost” as well as the phone number 1 (855) 444-8888. Give it a ring, and you’ll be treated to a nostalgic backing track, along with a woman’s voice saying things like, “His daddy fine,” “He got his looks from me,” and “Tyler momma crazy.” One user attempted to post the audio on Instagram, and received a note saying “Your video has been removed,” because they didn’t have the rights to “MOMMA TALK by Tyler, the Creator.” This led many to speculate that the snippet is from a song called “Momma Talk”. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ She’s the One Will Be Reissued for 25th Anniversary
A few months ahead of the 25th anniversary of Songs and Music From She’s the One, Tom Petty’s estate has announced a reimagined version of that album they’re calling Angel Dream (Songs and Music from the Motion Picture She’s the One). The reissue will be released first on limited-edition cobalt blue vinyl for Record Store Day this Saturday, June 12, and then on CD, digital, and black vinyl on July 2. A visualizer video for “Angel Dream (No. 2)” dropped on Thursday, showing the lyrics of the peaceful song and an image of Petty among the wildflowers and sunset colors. It’s still a beloved member of Ford’s truck lineup, and it (along with the rest of the F-150 range) received some major updates for 2021. More aggressive bodywork, 37-inch tires, and a new five-link rear end were among the improvements, but it turns out that extra power won’t be.
