Bruce Springsteen to Return to Broadway for Limited Run This Summer

The Boss is back…on Broadway. A few years after completing his run performing Springsteen on Broadway, Bruce Springsteen is bringing back his Tony-winning show to New York City for a limited-time engagement at Jujamcyn’s St. James Theatre on W. 44th St.. The run will take place beginning on Saturday, June 26 and will run for most of the summer before wrapping up on Sept. 4. “I loved doing Springsteen on Broadway and I’m thrilled to have been asked to reprise the show as part of the reopening of Broadway,” Springsteen said in a statement. According to a release, proceeds from Opening Night will go to a number of charities in the New York and New Jersey area. Michelle Zauner’s Crying In H Mart Memoir Is Becoming a Movie

Last week, Michelle Zauner released her third album as Japanese Breakfast, which came a few months after the release of her stunning memoir, Crying in H Mart. Now, that book is coming to the big screen. MGM’s Orion Pictures has acquired the film rights to the New York Times best selling memoir. There is no release date set for the film. The film version of Crying in H Mart will be produced by Stacey Sher and Jason Kim and Japanese Breakfast will provide the soundtrack for the film. “It is a surreal thrill to have the opportunity to memorialize my mother in film, and I consider it of the highest honor to pursue that task alongside creative luminaries such as Stacey Sher, Jason Kim and Orion Pictures,” Zauner said in a statement. Fucked Up to Release 10th Anniversary David Comes To Life Vinyl, Plus ‘The Truest Road’ Rarity

Toronto punk band Fucked Up is celebrating their concept album David Comes To Life with a limited-edition two-LP reissue on lightbulb-yellow vinyl. Out via Matador Records on Dec. 10, the collection will revisit a set of songs that splayed freely into unexpected instrumentation, psychedelic drift, and situationist philosophy.
