SLANDER returned to the festival circuit with a triumphant DJ set at Tampa’s Sunset Music Festival over the weekend. And while their performance—rife with soaring future bass and dubstep—was one of the event’s highlights, it was a different drop that sent ripples through the EDM community. The famed electronic duo took time during their Sunset performance to formally announce Starbase, a curated melodic bass music festival they had first teased in summer 2020. According to an attendee, whose initial tweet has been circulated widely on social media since SLANDER’s set, the fest will go down in October 2021 in Charleston, South Carolina. SLANDER revealed the event back in June 2020, when the duo announced that they were planning an outer space-themed ...

On Monday, Waters revealed the remaster is finally on the way. In a note published on his website, he also shared liner notes originally intended to accompany the re-release, which he says Gilmour wanted to be removed over a credit dispute. According to Waters, Gilmour doesn’t “dispute the veracity” of the “redacted” liner notes, which were written by Mark Blake and largely credit Waters for the project’s conception, songwriting, and cover art design. However, Waters...

As the concert calendar continues to ramp up, a sure sign that the pandemic is slowing down is the official word that Coachella and Stagecoach are back for 2022. Speaking to Billboard, Goldenvoice boss Paul Tollett said that the fest will return in April 2022, and the news was confirmed on each festival’s respective social media and official website. “We look forward to being in the desert next April with all of our friends,” Tollett said.
