The single is the latest offering from their comeback album, Exit Wounds, out July 9th via New West Records. “Maybe Your Heart’s Not in It No More” is a rambling roots rock tune interweaving electric and acoustic guitars with a backing organ. It features Jakob Dylan describing the feeling of losing touch with one’s muse. “It’s gone quiet it’s gone cold,” he laments. “Acting like someone’s you don’t know/ Used to rumble used to roar/ Whatever it’s doing it didn’t before/ Maybe your heart’s not in no more.” In a press statement, Dylan explained the...

The pair worked together as recently as last summer, when they dropped “Backstage Pass” featuring The Drums. Their chemistry is obvious, with Booker’s soulful production providing a rich backdrop for Smino’s smooth singing and cracked raps. “Rice & Gravy” keeps a woodwind riff bubbling on the stove, sprinkling in hand claps and stuttering drums for texture. “That’s what made me,” Smino croons, “Momma baby (Uh, uh), only son in her house/ She had to blame me, an...

With music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the musical Dear Evan Hansen tells the story of an anxious, awkward high school student who writes letters to himself at his therapist’s request. One of those letters is snatched up by Connor, a troubled kid with bullying tendencies who commits suicide soon after. Sinead O’Connor and Prince had a checkered history despite the latter penning the former’s biggest hit, at least according to O’Connor. Some time ago, O’Connor alluded to some problematic behavior, said that they didn’t get along, and promised that she’d reveal all in her memoir that was years in the making. Now, in a New York Times profile, O’Connor accuses Prince of terrorizing her. After “Nothing Compares 2 U” became a runaway hit, O’Connor says that Prince invited her up to the Hollywood mansion where he was living at the time and proceeded to rip her for swearing in interviews and forced his butler to serve her soup even though she didn’t want it. But the most disturbing accusation, according to the Times, is when Prince “sweetly suggested a pillow fight, only to thump ...
Clapton continued, “About six weeks later I was offered and took the second AZ shot, but with a little more knowledge of the dangers. Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again, (I suffer with peripheral neuropathy and should never have gone near the needle.) But the propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone.” In an informational leaflet provided by the National Health Service (NHS) to U.K. recipients of the AstraZeneca vaccine, very common side effects include fatigue, chills, fever, headache, nausea, joint pain/muscle ache and tenderness/pain where the injection was given. While Clapton said working with Van Morrison on “Stand and D...
Ben Platt reprises his titular role in the official trailer for the Dear Evan Hansen film, which Universal Pictures unveiled on Tuesday (May 18). The heartwarming clip showcases the Tony-, Grammy- and Emmy-winning actor portraying his Broadway character Evan Hansen, an anxious, lonely high school teenager who writes motivational letters to himself per his therapist’s assignment. His classmate Connor Murphy takes one of the letters, but after he dies by suicide, Connor’s parents find Evan’s note in his pocket and believe it to be his suicide note directed for Evan. Evan begins to bond with Connor’s family and plans his memorial service — where he shines in his eventually viral performance of “You Will Be Found” — while his fabricated frie...
