Stream it below via Apple Music or Spotify. Lead songwriter Karah Goldstein wrote and recorded all of Inconvenience Store, with mastering by Billy Mannino (oso oso). The album works as a concept album about the Long Island music scene — songs about money, jealousy, and insecurity come at you faster than your 30th birthday, creating a feeling so specific it becomes universal. “Inconvenience Store is a collection of ten individual stories about the insane little art community you made the center of your universe as a teenager — and the one you are now,...

Bruce Springsteen Promises New Album ‘Soon’ During Award Speech

At the beginning of 2021,  Bruce Springsteen said he wouldn’t tour until 2022 but told SiriusXM that he had a “big surprise” coming: Last night, he revealed the surprise:  He has a record coming out soon that’s set in the West. Springsteen speaks on the role that the state of California has played in his “most topical” songwriting, “The ’90s, the 2000s, and even now on a record coming out soon set largely in the West,” he explained. “So I got very involved in telling those Western stories through my work.” He made the fan-thrilling announcement during a remote acceptance speech as the eighth recipient of the Woody Guthrie Prize, an award that goes to artists who honor and create in the spirit of the legendary folksinger. 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV’s Range Falls Short of Original Estimates

When Chevrolet revealed the 2022 Bolt EUV, it estimated the electric SUV would manage approximately 250 miles of driving range on a full charge. Turns out the American brand was off by a few miles—specifically, three. The Bolt EUV returns an estimated driving range of 247 miles on a full charge of its 65-kWh battery pack, per the Environmental Protection Agency. While it might not break the 250-mile barrier, the Bolt EUV still offers plenty of driving range for most electric vehicle consumers, even if it falls a wee bit short of the 258-mile driving range offered by its closest competitor, the 2021 Hyundai Kona Electric. Plus, there’s always the 2022 Bolt hatchback, which maintains the 259-mile range of its 2021 counterpart. See all 20 photos What the Bolt EUV lacks in range relative...

The Ultimate BMW M8 Is a 12-Cylinder Prototype From the 1990s

The little-known M8 prototype was never given the green light for production, but it is still a remarkable feat of engineering. Credit the 6.1-liter V-12 under this big coupe’s hood, which, according to the video above, is just one of three such engines to exist. With 640-hp (more than the current BMW M8), the rear-drive BMW M8 prototype was surely a rocket. Plus, with a six-speed manual on board, it was definitely a hoot to manhandle, too. BMW’s big V-12 shared little with the unit in the production 850i of the 1990s. Unlike that car’s single overhead cam 5.0-liter unit, the M8 prototype’s 6.1-liter 12-pot featured dual overhead cams, a special intake setup, and an entirely reworked lubrication system. In fact, the oil sump was moved to the back of the car to allow...

How Does Chopra Global’s Devi Brown Stay Mindful?

My life first took me into entertainment. I started working in radio and doing some TV, and kind of on the L.A. music scene when I was 18. But the deeper desire there was always the storytelling and it was always my curiosity. I don’t consider myself in the music industry now. I actually don’t even listen to anything with the exception of Soulection Radio, which I think is one of God’s greatest gifts. Back then, I had a lot of access to celebrity but the root of my work was always in deep curiosity about people’s journeys. I interviewed Kendrick [Lamar] maybe like a decade ago, and in that interview I asked him about depression and mental health – that was the word that we were using. I was getting responses from listeners about how much that helped them. I also rem...

St. Vincent Premieres New Album Daddy’s Home: Stream

<span class="localtime" data-ltformat="F j, Y | g:ia" data-lttime="2021-05-14T01:55:11+00:00“>May 13, 2021 | 9:55pm ET St. Vincent has unveiled her seventh studio album, Daddy’s Home. Stream it below on Apple Music and Spotify. As it turns out, this is not Annie Clark’s Tool-inspired record that some fans were waiting for. Rather, Daddy’s Home comes from an intensely personal place, written in the aftermath of her father’s release from prison in 2019. Produced by Jack Antonoff, who previously worked with Clark on 2017’s MASSEDUCTION, the 14-song collection eschews the kinetic synth pop of that prior album in favor of a more “sleazy, grimy” sound, rooted in the classic funk and soul records that she heard in h...

For their latest visuals to “Barry White,” Capo gets draped in all-white attire and links up with Cam’ron for a night out in the town before spending the day politicking on a boat out on the beach. It’s always dope to see Dip Set together even if it’s only a few members at a time. On another side of town Moneybagg Yo keeps himself busy making money moves and for his Polo G and Lil Durk assisted clip to “Free Promo” gives us a street tale revolving around money, drugs and guns.
