Listen to the Morrissey and The Smiths-Inspired Song From The Simpsons

Last month (which honestly feels like many months ago), The Simpsons aired an episode that was inspired by The Smiths and mocked Morrissey. Moz didn’t take too kindly to that and he and his manager issued a few statements about their displeasure and even took a shot at Benedict Cumberbatch, who voiced the character. If you didn’t happen to catch the episode but heard the news, you’ll be happy to know that a song from said episode, “Panic on the Streets of Springfield” (yes, it’s a play on the Smiths song “Panic”) can now be heard. It’s a duet between Quilloughby (the fake Moz voiced by Cumberbatch) and Lisa Simpson (Yeardley Smith) that also happened to be co-written by Flight of the Conchords’ Bret McKenzie. Listen to it below. [embedded content] You Deserve to Make Money Even W...

Oasis Announce 1996 Knebworth Concert Documentary

In 2016, Oasis was the subject of a documentary that chronicled their meteoric rise, which culminated with a pair of gigs in August 1996 at Knebworth in the UK. Over 4% of the country tried to get one of the 250,000 tickets that were available. As you can imagine, it was epic and the crowd was Mad Fer It. The opening bands were a who’s who of that era: The Charlatans, The Prodigy, Manic Street Preachers and The Chemical Brothers. Obviously, we know how things slowly disintegrated after that, but this debatably was the peak of Britpop and the Gallaghers, Bonehead, Guigsy and Alan White were at the front of it. Now, those shows are coming to the big screen. Ahead of the 25th anniversary of those shows the band announced that a documentary chronicling those gigs will be released. It will...

During their appearance, the rock veterans performed “All the Good Ones”.
