Round two of “Griztronics” seems to be on the way. Thanks to a serendipitous tweet from GRiZ, dubstep fans can now look forward to a follow-up to the electro-funk star’s 2019 collaborative hit with Subtronics. GRiZ revealed that he was in the studio with the Cyclops Recordings label head working on new music. With its signature pre-drop punchline, “Griztronics” emerged as dubstep’s crown jewel after its release on GRiZ’s Bangers[2].zip EP. Its wonky sound design enthralled the music festival circuit and catapulted both artists even further into electronic music superstardom. The list of major artists to support the single live is akin to an EDM version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. DJ Snake, Zeds Dead, Adventure Club, 12th Plan...

In fact, Live Nation has already booked twice (!) as many shows for next year as it did in all of 2019. Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino previewed the packed 2022 concert calendar during a call with investors on Thursday. “Around the world, people are showing the need to get out and socialize once again which reinforces our expectation that a return to concerts will be the logical progression as vaccines are readily available to everyone who wants to get one,” Rapino said. “This is generally already the case in the U.S. where we are confidently planning our reopenin...
<span class="localtime" data-ltformat="F j, Y | g:ia" data-lttime="2021-05-06T21:58:14+00:00“>May 6, 2021 | 5:58pm ET Third time’s the charm? Justin Bieber has announced tour dates for 2022, most of which were rescheduled from his aborted 2021 tour, which itself was postponed by the coronavirus pandemic after initially being set for 2020. When this saga began, the Canadian superstar hoped to promote his album Changes. But that was so last year, and the arc of this tour now bends towards Justice, his latest project that, despite some questionable album artwork, became the No. 1 album in America. This iteration is bigger than ever before, with seven new arena shows added to the schedule. “We’re working hard to make this tour the best one yet,” B...
<span class="localtime" data-ltformat="F j, Y | g:ia" data-lttime="2021-05-06T23:00:12+00:00“>May 6, 2021 | 7:00pm ET Coldplay are back with “Higher Power”, their first new song in two years. The track reunites the British rockers with Max Martin, the Swedish super producer responsible for dozens of No. 1 hits. Watch the alien-powered music video below. The Chris Martin-led band beamed a specially recorded performance of the single to French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who premiered the track on board the International Space Station. The AR-augmented clip features dancing alien holograms, fitting in with the theme of the Alien Radio FM website where they’ve been teasing new music lately. “‘Higher Power’ is a song that arrived on a little keyboard and ...
If you’re a rich person who’s been wondering when you’d finally be able to show off your wealth by purchasing locks of Kurt Cobain’s hair, well, you’re a creep. That said, apparently, you’re a lucky creep. As of today, six locks of the Nirvana legend’s hair will be available as (hopefully) the weirdest lot in Iconic Auctions’ “The Amazing Music Auction (Vol. I).” The auction begins tonight (May 6) at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET and concludes on May 15. Now look, there are plenty of other perfectly reasonable items for people to blow too much money on, including all sorts of signed stuff from the Beatles, Bob Dylan, and other rockers and rappers mainstream enough to end up on an auction site. Hell, there are even some less crazy Nirvana options, like one of Cobain’s personal amps and a Stratocas...
Authorities say the suspects used text messages, social media messages and emails to share account information taken from dark websites for trips on private jets, exotic car rentals, yacht charters, luxury vacation rentals, and even designer puppies. During the investigation in November 2018, G Herbo told a federal agent that he never worked with or was assisted by Strong; never provided Strong any money; never received anything of value from Strong; and had no direct relationship with Strong, prosecutors said. In fact, the two had worked together since at least 2016, had exchanged money and valuable goods, and had frequent direct contact through phone conversations, text messages and social media messages, prosecutors said. An email seeking comment was sent Thursday to G Herbo’s attorney....
The 23-track set debuts at No. 3. Myke Towers claims his second top 10 on the Top Latin Albums chart as his third studio album, Lyke Mike, debuts at No. 3 on the May 8-dated survey. The set follows Towers’ sophomore effort Easy Money Baby, his first entry on the all-genre Latin chart (No. 1 start, Feb. 2020). Lyke Mike, released April 23 on One Way International/Warner/Warner Latina, earned a little more than 16,000 equivalent album units in the week ending April 29, according to MRC Data, 4,000 units ahead of its predecessor’s debut week sum, despite its No. 3 start. Nearly all of Lyke Mike’s starting sum is powered by streaming activity. The Top Latin Albums chart ranks the most popular Latin albums of the week in the U.S. base...
