Bikini Kill Reschedule Reunion Tour for 2022

Kathleen Hanna (vocals), Kathi Wilcox (bass guitar), and Tobi Vail (drums), along with guitarist Erica Dawn Lyle, first reunited in 2019 for a series of concerts in the US and UK. They had planned to embark on a more extensive outing in 2020, but those dates were ultimately postponed due to the pandemic. The rescheduled tour spans 45 dates in total, including 13 newly announced shows. Toyota Set to Acquire Lyft’s Self-Driving Division as Part of $550 Million Deal

Toyota Motor Corporation is acquiring Lyft’s self-driving vehicle division in a $550 million deal through its subsidiary Woven Planet, a company dedicated to developing autonomous driving and advanced mobility technologies. The acquisition of Lyft’s Level 5 automation will also include multiyear non-exclusive commercial agreements between the ride-hail company and Woven Planet. In addition to enhancing safety, this partnership will help expedite the development of self-driving technology and the commercialization of automated vehicles. Electronic titan Eric Prydz has signed with CAA and will be represented by music agent Alex Becket, whose roster also includes Rüfüs Du Sol, Lee Burridge, Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, Bedouin, Monolink and more. Bikini Kill Announce Rescheduled 2022 Tour With New Stops in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta

Just like everyone else, Bikini Kill had their touring plans squashed due to the pandemic and initially planned to push it to this year. Alas, that isn’t happening. However, Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail, Kathi Wilcox and Erica Dawn Lyle will be hitting the road almost exactly one year from today. On Wednesday, Bikini Kill unveiled their 2022 tour dates, which include a bunch of new stops, including Los Angeles, Tucson, El Paso, Austin, St. Augustine, New York City and many more. Val Demings gave insight on the video footage that captured an Ohio police officer fatally shooting a Black teenage girl last week. Bodycam footage showed an officer, later identified as officer Nicholas Reardon, responding to a call about a fight outside involving 15-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant in front of her home. Florence + the Machine’s Florence Welch will pen the lyrics and co-write music for a musical stage adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Welch will work with Oscar- and Grammy-nominee Thomas Bartlett on the music for the show.
