HipHopWired Featured Video Source: MEGA / Getty Former (alleged) Black couple goals Saweetie and Quavo continue to swap insults at each other weeks after their split hit the internet. The 27-year-old rap star shed light on the infidelity accusations in the Kendra Jae assisted track titled “See Saw,” per MadameNoire. The song is featured on her seven-track EP titled Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1, released last Friday. In the first couple of bars, Saweetie calls out the Migos rapper for being a terrible boyfriend and directly claps back at Quavo’s tweet expressing “disappointment” that his former Icy girl spoke publicly about their very private breakup. Charlotte de Witte is giving her “New Form” livestream series a serious dose of adrenaline. The techno tastemaker is set to perform at the world-famous Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello racetrack on April 29th, 2021. Based in Tuscany, Italy, the track is owned by Ferrari and has been a classic home to F1 racing for decades. de Witte is celebrating the forthcoming release of her Formula EP with a special performance at the prestigious racing venue. The idea first came about when she first re-discovered DJ Visage’s “Schumacher Song,” a Eurodance-style track that revs to life with the heavy-handed use of racing samples. Considering her Belgian background, de Witte felt drawn to a similar creative headspace since the Belgian Grand Prix has ...
Weezer took to social media on Tuesday (April 20) to reveal the track list for their long-awaited album Van Weezer. They also announced that the track “I Need Some Of That” will arrive on April 21. “It’s almost Van Weezer time. These are all the songs on the album that comes out on May 7th,” the band wrote, adding that “I Need Some Of That” will drop tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. PT/12:00 p.m. ET. Van Weezer was originally meant to be released back in May 2020, to accompany the band’s Hella Mega stadium tour with Green Day and Fall Out Boy. Both ventures were delayed, and meanwhile, Weezer surprise-released an entirely separate album, OK Human, in January. (The Hella Mega Tour is now expected to take place this summer.) For the stoner’s holiday that is April 20, the Foo Fighters shared a trippy animated video for their tune “Chasing Birds.” The clip sees Dave Grohl and company performing, while the singer/guitarist sees “trails” and meets a talking cactus in the clip’s desert landscape. While the lyrics for “Chasing Birds” include “Chasing birds / To get high / I’m never coming down,” it’s not an overt drug song, but the visuals are perfect for those who do enjoy some green, which is legal in Grohl’s adopted home state of California. His bandmates also find themselves melting, falling into a chasm, seeing colorful monsters and having assorted trippy experiences. “Chasing Birds” is off the band’s latest LP, Medicine at Midnight. After dropping Love Is Dead in 2018, the Scottish trio embarked on an extensive tour, before beginning 2020 with what they thought would be a quick break. Instead, they found themselves quarantining on opposite sides of the world, with Martin Doherty and singer Lauren Mayberry isolating in Los Angeles while Iain Cook holed up in Glasgow. The indie poppers became much more familiar with video call and audio sharing technologies, writing songs together despite being over 5,000 miles apart. “He Said She Said” was the first resu...
The Knockouts are in full swing on NBC’s The Voice, and the quality of contestants on show are creating headaches for the coaches. Kelly Clarkson found that out the hard way on Monday night (April 19), when Corey Ward performed her very own song “Already Gone,” from 2009, against Ryleigh Modig, who covered Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody,” from 2008. When he wrapped up, Ward earned a standing ovation from John Legend, who bellowed “beautiful,” while Clarkson could be heard remarking, “he killed my song, that’s fine.” You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online.
