As it turned out, the statement was from Morrissey’s manager (which brought about another statement) and brought more attention to the legendary cartoon than it’s likely received in years. Gunmen suspected to be armed robbers in the early hours of Monday invaded Mbiabong Itam community in Itu Local government Area, Akwa Ibom State, and killed a young shop owner identified as Ecole. According to sources in the community, Ecole’s grocery shop at Mbiabong was invaded by the gunmen and in the process the young man was shot in the head. “He was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he later gave up the ghost,” the source said. Newsmen report that in the ensuing confusion of that night, the youth of the community, with the help of the vigilante team, arrested two members of the robbery gang, killed them and set them ablaze inside a minibus used by the robbers. Superstar DJ Steve Aoki and his brother Kevin, a renowned restauranteur, are opening a new Japanese-inspired eatery on the Las Vegas Strip. Kuru Kuru Pa will open this summer as part of the rollout of Zouk Group’s Resorts World Las Vegas, the first resort built on the Strip in the last decade. According to the restaurant’s social media, its design and concept were inspired by Japanese culture and anime. Kuru Kuru Pa’s menu will feature a variety of yakitori and kushiyaki (types of grilled or skewered chicken), and yaki onigiri (a grilled rice ball), among other signature dishes. Genesis makes its electric vehicle plans official with the appearance of the Electrified G80 at the Shanghai Auto Show. We expect the EV model to show up on our shores within the next year or two, as well, given the brand claims the Electrified G80 is a global vehicle. The parent company of Genesis, Hyundai Motor Company, has big EV plans for each of its brands (Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis).
