Darkside Share ‘The Limit’ Single From Upcoming Album Spiral

Dave Harrington and Nicolas Jaar, the two artists who make up the American rock band Darkside, have shared “The Limit,” the second single to date off their upcoming Spiral album.  The pair have been on a musical hiatus since the release of their debut LP Psychic in 2013 and  Spiral will be out on July 23 on Matador Records. “From the beginning, DARKSIDE has been our jam band. Something we did on days off. When we reconvened, it was because we really couldn’t wait to jam together again,” says Jaar in Spiral’s press release. Harrington agrees,  saying, “It felt like it was time again,” he said. “We do things in this band that we would never do on our own. Alabama Shakes Drummer Steve Johnson Arraigned in Child Abuse Case, Released on Bond

On Wednesday, he was arraigned at Limestone County Courthouse in Athens, Alabama, during which he was granted bond by Judge Gray West, according to Alabama ABC affiliate WAAY. Johnson was arrested on March 24th in Limestone County, Alabama, after being indicted on charges of “willful torture, willful abuse, and cruelly beating or otherwise willfully maltreating a child under the age of 18.” Prior to the arraignment hearing, Johnson was not granted bond due to an arrest warrant for violating a protective order. After spending 15 days behind bar...

Chevy’s Silverado Electric Truck to Share Assembly Line With Hummer EVs

General Motors announced it will build an electric Chevrolet Silverado full-size pickup truck in Detroit. The new Silverado is designed from the ground up to be an electric vehicle, GM President Mark Reuss said at an event at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant that has been renamed Factory Zero because it is being retooled to only build electric vehicles. The Silverado EV will have a driving range of more than 400 miles on a single charge, Reuss said. There will be versions for both retail and commercial customers, as well as a wide variety of configurations and options for buyers to choose from. Avicii’s Biography Receives Official North America Release Date

The road to Tim: The Official Biography of Avicii has been a long and winding one.  In 2019 it was revealed that Swedish writer Måns Mosesson was given the green light to release the biography the following year after Albert Bonniers Förlag received authorization from Avicii Music AB, the company responsible for the late DJ’s assets and brand following his death. The date was later pushed back to 2021 but had yet to receive an official North America release date until now.
