Margot Robbie Says Quentin Tarantino Has a “20-Hour Cut” of Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood

Margot Robbie and Quentin Tarantino on the Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood set, photo via Andrew Cooper/Sony We know full well there’s more of the Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood story for Quentin Tarantino to tell. The filmmaker has long teased plans for a four-hour director’s cut, he’s penning a novel that is set to expand the story further, and there’s that dream of an actual Bounty Law TV series. But according to one of the original film’s stars, there’s one particularly long version of Once Upon a Time that could span nearly a full day. Speaking with Variety about her recent film Promising Young Woman, Margot Robbie teased that Tarantino has a 20-hour cut of his twisted tale of ’70s Hollywood. “There’s a 20-hour cut of Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood that would…...

Law Firm Files Class Action Suit Against Ultra Miami Organizers to Issue Refunds

A Boca Raton-based consumer rights firm has filed a class action lawsuit against the City of Miami and Event Entertainment Group, the organizers of Ultra Music Festival. Corwin Law is representing a class of Florida residents who purchased tickets to the 2020 edition of the iconic Miami music festival, which was scheduled to take place March 20th to 22nd at Bayfront Park. A press release shared with EDM.com by a consultant representing the firm states that attorney Marcus W. Corwin believes the promoters of the event “disguised” its 2020 cancellation as a postponement and unfairly offered an enhanced benefits package in lieu of refunds. Corwin called the offer “utterly unacceptable.” The eight-count class action lawsuit, filed in t...

Nissan Armada’s Middle Eastern Twin Gets Sporty, Head-Scratching NISMO Treatment

The Nissan Patrol (better known to us Yankees as the Nissan Armada) is the Japanese brand’s biggest and baddest SUV. It’s designed as both a people-mover and a more-rugged-than-a-crossover body-on-frame off-roading machine. But, if desert dune running and go-anywhere, do-anything capability don’t quite appeal to you, then maybe the Patrol’s new NISMO treatment will do the trick—just so long as you happen to live in the Middle East, because that’s the only market this NISMO will be sold in. Nissan’s Motorsports (Ni-SMO, get it?) division has worked its magic on a range of Nissans in the past, and it even set its tinkering hands on a Patrol before. But this new Patrol NISMO promises to be even badder than the one that came before it. The first thing y...

Kim Kardashian’s Cadillac Escalade Is a Silver Slice of Excellence

Believe it or not, Kim Kardashian actually has a pretty solid track record when it comes to her personal fleet of vehicles. Most of them have either been left stock, or else tastefully modded. Her Rollers, Bentleys, and Ferraris haven’t quite cut against the grain in the same way as, say, Kanye West’s cars have. But her newest ride doesn’t come from Great Britain or Italy. It hails right from Detroit, and we aren’t ashamed to say we love it. Not only that, but the new Escalade itself is a damn good starting point. Its supple ride, first-class cabin, and massive interior volume combine to make for the perfect Hollywood mom car—especially as seen here in long-wheelbase, ESV guise. We doubt lowering it did much for the ride, but you have to do something to stand out fr...

How Def Jam’s Marisa Pizarro Found a New ‘Healing’ Purpose in Supporting the AAPI Community

The Billboard 2020 Women in Music top executive found herself and the rest of UTOPIAA switching gears to address the AAPI community’s needs. One way they sought to accomplish this was by organizing an AAPI Anti-Violence Town Hall to address the increased hate crimes and violence. The town hall, which was scheduled on March 17 after weeks of planning, happened to come just one day after three shootings in Atlanta-based spas killed eight people, six of whom were Asian American women. “We literally had [the town hall] scheduled for weeks, and then Tuesday happened, and we were in shock,” Pizarro tells Billboard. “The way that Universal stepped up was like, ‘OK, what do you guys need right now?’ And it was crazy that we had that plan...

Quavo Breaks Silence on ‘Unfortunate’ Elevator Fight With Ex Saweetie

It wasn’t as bad as it looked, and it’s all in the past, says Quavo. “We had an unfortunate situation almost a year ago that we both learned and moved on from,” he explains in a statement to Billboard. “I haven’t physically abused Saweetie and have real gratitude for what we did share overall.” Two days after the video hit the web, Saweetie issued her own statement, calling the tussle “unfortunate.” Los Angeles Police Department is said to be investigating the footage, according to TMZ, and detectives reportedly want to meet with both parties separately to discuss the background to the incident. Saweetie and Quavo are no longer an item. Saweetie first announced she was single March 19 on Twitter, writing that she’d suffered “too much betrayal...

HYBE will handle the acquisition through its wholly owned state-side subsidiary HYBE America, buying a 100 percent of Ithaca Holdings, including its properties, such as SB Projects and Big Machine Label Group. Braun, Ithaca’s CEO, will join the board of HYBE, and Scott Borchetta will remain CEO of Big Machine Label Group. As part of the transaction, private equity firm The Carlyle Group is exiting its significant minority stake in Ithaca after initially investing in the company in 2017 by way of its Carlyle Partners VI fund. The new partners said that “artists of both companies will participate in the capital increase of HYBE, to further strengthen the ties between the two companies,” without providing further detail. “With Ithaca ...

St. Vincent has some very sage advice for all you readers wasting your time with novels out there in the promo for this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, where she will take the stage for the second time alongside first-timer host Daniel Kaluuya (Judas and the Black Messiah). “Join us, won’t you, for some quality television,” says cast member Aidy Bryant in the clip. “TV is better than books, guys,” notes St. Vincent, rocking a 1970s chic outfit that includes green slacks, a silk white blouse, black blazer, oversized square shades and a jaunty neckerchief. “Put down the books and watch us on TV,” adds Kaluuya. “Yeah, we all agree, we don’t know how to read, so, we’re good,” Bryant admits. You Deserve to Make Money Even Wh...

Radiohead Join TikTok With Cryptic New Video

Radiohead have officially joined TikTok. A verified account for the alt-rock legends appeared on the video app earlier this morning, but the only thing they’ve posted so far is proving very difficult to parse. The short clip features Radiohead’s mysterious associate Chieftain Mews delivering some sort of dystopian news broadcast at a desk with the words “Mews” emblazoned on it. The video is shot in black-and-white with a grainy, glitchy filter, and there’s some sort of strange logo on the wall behind Mews that resembles graffiti art. As always, Mews is wearing a bizarre bald cap that’s pulled down just above his eyes, and he’s rocking a suit — but no tie — a white undershirt, and dark-colored nail polish. What he says makes even less sense. “Say something,” we hear an off-camera voice at t...
