Saweetie Claims She Got PTSD After Ebro Of Hot97 Called Her Freestyling “Basic” [Video]

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Manny Carabel / Getty Hate him or love him one thing that Ebro does not do is bite his tongue. One of his most memorable interviews apparently caused an artist to have self doubt. As spotted on Hot New Hip Hop Saweetie recently conducted an interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine where she admitted that after an appearance on Ebro In The Morning show her self confidence tanked. Back in February of 2018 the Hayward, California native insisted on freestyling for Ebro, Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez. While she tried to impress the crew her bars and delivery where both mired in struggle. Darden was very blunt and responded that the impromptu performance was basic and she only had her beauty to offer. “It was a really dark point in my life. I wen...

AREA21 Share Mysterious Radio Transmission Message: “We Are Coming”

AREA21 are trying to tell us something. The collaborative alias of Martin Garrix and Maejor sent an email to EDM.com today, March 24th, containing an audio file with a cryptic radio transmission message. We are unable to confirm who exactly the speaker is due to their concealment via voice modulation, but they are clearly signaling something big on the horizon. “Hello. We are coming,” the voice says before asking fans to join them on a “mission.” Back in October 2020, Garrix confirmed the imminent return of AREA21, saying the duo “basically made a whole album” in an interview. They then went on to wipe their social media accounts in January 2021 before teasing the album later that month. AREA21’s message was also broad...

2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition Comes Out of the Woods Soon

What can we expect? The teaser image shows black alloy wheels wrapped in meaty Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015s. These are somewhat chunky all-terrain tires that straddle the line between daily-driver comfort and moderate dry off-road capability—better than a typical stock crossover tire, sure, but no BFGoodrich KO2s. The tires seemingly set the tone for what to expect from the Outback Wilderness overall. In other words, this Outback model ought to prove perfect for someone with outdoor recreation in mind as opposed to hardcore trail work. See all 24 photos This seems about right for a Subaru (it’s also a lot like how we’ve treated our long-term Outback Oynx). It also squares with the ever-popular trend of fitting out modern Subarus with moderate lift kits and knobbier tires. ...

2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Plug-In Hybrid Official MPG: The Diesel Beats It

Over the weekend the EPA quietly updated its website with the latest mpg figures for the much-anticipated plug-in hybrid electric 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. When Jeep introduced the hybrid Wrangler in late 2020, it estimated that the SUV would be able to drive up to 25 miles on electricity alone. We now know that Jeep was a tad optimistic (almost 20 percent, actually) in that figure, as the official EPA estimate for the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe‘s pure-electric range comes in at 21 miles. That’s 4 miles fewer than originally estimated, for those keeping score at home. It also is several fewer miles than Stellantis’s only other plug-in hybrid, the older Chrysler Pacifica minivan, achieves using a larger V-6 gas engine and a smaller 16-kWh battery (32 miles of EV-only o...

Benny Blanco Lets His Lips Loose About Accidentally Kissing Beyoncé

But that’s not “the craziest story” yet. On the third night of his stay, the “Lonely” artist debated how to properly bid adieu to one of the biggest pop stars. A hug? A simple “Bye”? A kiss on the cheek? “I’m very European. You go in and you do that. … And I went to do like, kiss on the cheek, and I guess we just missed a little bit. And just like, I definitely hit the corner of some sort of lip. I’m like, ‘Oh my God. This is the worst thing in my life,'” he said. “And I’m sitting there, and as I’m doing it, out of the corner of my eye, Jay-Z is right there looking at me. And I’m just like, ‘My lip is here. Hers is there, and there’s definitely some corner things are happening....

Machine Gun Kelly & Travis Barker Go Goth For ‘A Girl Like You’ Cover in ‘Paradise City’ Trailer

A director’s note on the preview explains, “For kids that grow up with one parent, you can go on one of two paths: You can blame the world, your parents, blame God, blame lack of God, or it can light a fire under you that you’re gonna make it no matter what. Paradise City is the show made to inspire these millions of teenagers and young adults. It reminds us that there is no light without darkness, that sorrow and heartbreak can be the greatest drivers of art. It reminds us that there is always hope, that you are never alone and that music is always there if you let it be.” Creator/director Ash Avildsen explains that almost everything in the show was inspired by real events he experienced growing up in a single mom household in which he was estranged from his father...

Justin Bieber Might Get a ‘Peaches’ Tattoo, But It Won’t Be On This Part of His Body

“I promised myself, like I didn’t want to get tattoos on your hands. And so I don’t think I’m gonna get tattoos on my hands,” he explained. “Something about just being able to wear a suit and not having tattoos on my hands; I don’t know.” He pointed out that his legs and feet are the only available real estate on his body for new ink. But if he needed more Justice-related inspo, he could also turn to his favorite lyric off the album from its opener “2 Much”: “Don’t want to fall asleep, I’d rather fall in love.” The singer also opened up in the interview about his wife’s positive impact on his life in the song “Unstable” and what he’s doing to stay healthier, highlighting his key...

Obzesion Break Down Their Viral Hit ‘Mi Trokita’: ‘It Just Snowballed’

“People loved it so much at the concert that it made the song go a little viral and they made other people love it and then others, so it just snowballed,” he adds. “When it started picking up, the original video had half a million views in December and we celebrated hitting 1 million by releasing an official music video in January.” The new video has now raked in more than 23 million views on YouTube. On the Billboard charts, the track currently sits at No. 5 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart and at No. 19 on Hot Latin Songs (dated March 27). “I was just happy to see the song on the charts,” Hernández says. “I didn’t really know what to think of it. In our genre, we haven’t seen a lot of artists make it to those numbers or even chart. It was s...

The Bronx Announce New Album Bronx VI, Share “White Shadow”: Stream

L.A. punk rockers The Bronx have announced their first new album in four years, Bronx VI, arriving August 27th. They’ve also shared the first single and opening track “White Shadow”. The Bronx can always be counted on for tight, joyous rock ‘n’ roll that toes the line between hard rock and hardcore punk. On the surging “White Shadow”, they bring the big chords, anthemic vocals, and high entertainment value. Or in the the words of vocalist Matt Caughthran: “CLASSIC F–KING BRONX.” For the new album, The Bronx expanded the songwriting duties to include the full band, making Bronx VI somewhat special in the group’s sequential discography. “From day one we really decided that we wanted to make a record that went in different directions and places,” guitarist Joby Ford said in a press release. “...

Machine Gun Kelly Fires Off Cover of Edwyn Collins’ ‘A Girl Like You’

Hip-hop star turned pop-punk rocker Machine Gun Kelly has gone back to 1994 — he was just 4 years old at the time — to cover “A Girl Like You” in the trailer for the new Amazon series Paradise City. The tune was originally written and performed by Edwyn Collins, the Scottish post-punk and former Orange Juice frontman. It’s another interesting move by MGK, whose punky Tickets To My Downfall, which he created with Blink-182 drummer/impresario Travis Barker, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard last year. The LP also served as the soundtrack to an accompanying short film, Downfalls High. Last June, MGK and Barker covered Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name” during the protests. <!– // Brid Player Singles. var _bp = _bp||[]; _bp.p...
