Fifteen52 Stuffing a Honda Civic Type R Engine Into a 1996 Accord Wagon

The recent hoopla surrounding Honda Performance Development’s Civic Type R crate engine and controls package is certainly warranted. If you’re not in the know, cross-platform engine swapping in the Honda aftermarket community is as common as blinker-less BMWs. Honda’s modular powerplants have been plucked and repurposed in home garages around the globe since the late ’80s, but having the ability to order a crispy new K20C1 Civic Type R turbocharged engine (which puts down 306 hp in the stock Civic Type R) right from the manufacturer is something fairly new. See all 13 photos Unboxing the Potent New Engine for Something Old The Type R crate engine program was actually introduced a few years ago during the massive SEMA gathering, but at that time it was only available...

Lana Del Rey Vows to Get “Revenge” With Her Next Album Rock Candy Sweet

Lana Del Rey is just one day removed from the release of her seventh studio album, Chemtrails Over the Country Club, and yet she’s already plotting her next move. On Saturday, the singer announced that a follow-up album called Rock Candy Sweet will be released on June 1st. It seems Del Rey is largely motivated to respond to the commentary that preceded the release of Chemtrails — most of which she brought on herself. In an Instagram Story which included a screenshot of a Harper’s Bazar article titled, “Lana Del Rey Can’t Qualify Her Way Out Of Being Held Accountable”, Del Rey wrote, “Just want to say thank you again for the kind articles like this one and for reminding me that my career was built on cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse. I will continue to challenge those t...

A Volkswagen GTI Van?! The Transporter T6.1 Sportline Comes Close

Volkswagen has been making sporty-looking versions of its Transporter vans for a while now, but the latest version looks significantly more badass than the last one. The addition of the little “.1” appended to the T6 name indicates quite a bit has changed. The Sportline has always been a top-tier trim, but the T6.1 gets a serious injection of Golf GTI hot-hatch attitude—especially in the special Black Edition you’re seeing here. See all 2 photos All T6.1 Sportlines get a number of enhancements over the regular T6. The GTI-inspired touches are the most obvious: the red strip in the grille, a sporty front bumper skin, and the rear spoiler. The van is dropped an inch; the Black Edition additionally uses Eibach coilovers. Regular Sportlines can be had in grey, red, blue, or b...

Nicki Minaj’s Mother Files $150M Lawsuit Against Driver Charged in Father’s Hit-and-Run Death

“He was not only irresponsible and negligent, but more concerned about running away and hiding than seeking help,” Crump’s post continued. “Polevich’s behavior was criminal, cowardly, and immoral. We will hold him responsible for his reckless actions that led to Robert Maraj’s death!” Polevich’s attorney, Marc C. Gann, sent the following statement to Billboard: “Mr. Polevich has expressed empathy and condolences to the Maraj family. While the civil suit is not unexpected, the criminal charges pending against Mr. Polevich have no bearing on the civil case. It has yet to be determined whether there was any negligence involved in the accident or the degrees of any negligence. I will add that the amount demanded is shocking to say the least...

Lana Del Rey Teases ‘Rock Candy Sweet,’ Her ‘Next Record’

“Just want to say thank you again for the kind articles like this one and for reminding me that my career was built on cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse,” she quipped via sideways text overlaying the article. “I will continue to challenge those thoughts on my next record on June 1 titled Rock Candy Sweet.” In her latest Instagram post, she repeated that album announcement: “ROCK CANDY SWEET,” she captioned a photo of herself. “June 1.” Billboard has reached out to a representative for Lana Del Rey for comment about Rock Candy Sweet. Thanks to WAMZ and WBUL for being so understanding.” On her Instagram Stories on Saturday, Alaina checked in with fans to give an update about her symptoms. “I am resting up and trying to feel a bit better,” said Alaina. “Some people have it way worse than me, so I just have a little bit of shortness of breath, a really bad headache, no taste or smell, pretty bad congestion and I feel pretty tired. But I overall feel like it’s going to be OK.” You Deserve to Make Money Eve...

Kanye West Grossly Inflated His Net Worth

Earlier this week, a new report from Bloomberg insinuated that Kanye West’s net worth had skyrocketed to a whopping $6.6 billion. It turns out that those numbers were grossly inflated. According to Forbes, the figures we and numerous other publications reported on were based on West’s own speculative wealth, not the actual amount of money and assets he currently owns. As Forbes points out, the bulk of that $6.6 billion sum — which would make West the richest Black man in America — comes from a $4.8 billion valuation of his Yeezy company. A huge chunk of that figure is ascribed to the value of his Yeezy Gap partnership, but since the fashion collaboration has yet to launch or sell a single item of clothing, the assertion that it’s worth several billion dollars is en...

If you weren’t aware that catalytic converter theft is A Thing, well, it is—and the problem is getting worse. In 2019, an average of 282 catalytic converters were stolen every month; in 2020 the average had risen to 1,203—and that’s just an average. In December alone, 2,347 catalytic converters were stolen.
