Skillet Frontman John Cooper Attempts to Clarify Comments About Cardi B, The Grammys, and Hitler

Skillet frontman John Cooper has attempted to clarify his recent remarks comparing Cardi B’s “WAP” performance at the 2021 Grammys to speeches by Adolf Hitler. Cooper said his initial comments were “misrepresented” during a follow-up episode of his “Cooper Talk” video podcast, denying he compared Cardi B or the Grammys to any dictators. The Christian rock singer and self-described conservative sparked controversy when he tried to explain that a positive reception of Cardi B’s sexually charged Grammy performance with Megan Thee Stallion was an example of the “woke” public mistaking evil for good. He then used Hitler’s propaganda speeches as a historical example, saying that “every dictator in history says that what they were doing was good,” and that people are “forced to applaud” the “sexu...

He allegedly used bear spray on Capitol police during the insurrection. The guitarist’s attorney read a statement on his behalf, saying that Schaffer admits he “used bad judgement” and wishes he had a “do-over.” The lawyer also argued that...

Take a Seat: Mexico’s León is the Sexier MkVIII Golf We Can’t Have

Just a few weeks after the last Volkswagen Golf MkVII rolled out of the Puebla, Mexico plant—and we found out the new MkVIII model wouldn’t be coming Stateside—the fourth-generation Seat León has arrived in the Latin-American country. The Seat León and Volkswagen Golf have long shared their architecture, powertrains and interior design, and this sophisticated-looking new generation is no exception. It is based on the new eighth-generation Golf that America won’t be getting (sigh), making the León the closest we’ll get to the beloved regular-grade German hatchback—both literally and figuratively. Make no mistake, we’re happy we’re getting the MkVIII-based Golf R and GTI on our shores, but in Mexico, where VW has all not confirmed the arrival of the Golf VIII, t...

Mercedes-Benz’s New S-Class Goes Anti-Valet to Show Off Self-Parking Feature

Look, we get it, valets are people, too. Most probably go about their business schlepping your car from a convenient waypoint near an entrance to a venue or restaurant to a faraway parking space with the utmost care and caution. But you’ve seen Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, haven’t you? If not—how?—there’s an iconic sequence involving a Ferrari 250 GT California, a pair of speed-hungry valets, and a joyride that would make any car owner go out of their way to park their ride themselves. Mercedes-Benz has tapped into that protective instinct with a new commercial for the 2021 S-Class sedan titled, appropriately, “Valet Guys.” You can, and probably just did, watch the commercial via the YouTube clip above. So, we’ll spare you the explanation about the se...

She also confirmed a Demi Lovato collab is on the way. After rumors that she and Quavo had broken up, Saweetie set the record straight. The rapper confirmed she was “single” via Twitter on Friday (March 19), saying she’s suffered “too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes” and that being publicly showered with presents, from a Birkin to a Bentley, can’t heal the pain. But she assured her followers that she’s walked away from their relationship of more than two years “with a deep sense of peace and freedom.” “I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn&...
