Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Emily Wolfe has been rising up the music ranks over the past few years, and now she has her own signature Epiphone Sheraton Stealth guitar. She puts the instrument on display in a new performance of her song “No Man” at the Gibson Showroom in Austin, Texas, exclusively premiering at Consequence of Sound along with a giveaway contest for the new guitar. As an up-and-coming musician, Wolfe makes history with her own signature Epiphone guitar, which she helped develop. The Sheraton Stealth offers thinline, double-cutaway, semi-hollowbody design similar to the Gibson ES-335. Wolfe’s model comes in a Black Aged Gloss finish, boasting an Indian Laurel fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl block inlays with abalone lightning bolts. The headst...

On Tuesday night, Brittany Howard stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform “Short and Sweet” with her trademark show-stopping skills. However, unlike most musical guests on the show, she had the added pressure of singing in front of the former First Lady Michelle Obama, who was coincidentally a guest on the same episode. Unsurprisingly, Howard is a bonafide show-stopper and she delivered her rendition of the song flawlessly. Watch a replay her performance below. Howard’s late-night performance arrived on the heels of her whirlwind evening at the Grammy Awards this past weekend. She received a total of five nominations, including Best Alternative Music Album for her remarkable album Jaime, and ultimately took home a statue for Best Rock Song thanks to “Stay High”. She also sang the hell out...
HipHopWired Featured Video Wait, is Nick Cannon a Cuzz?! Probably not but the Wild ‘N Out is would definitely lead some people to believe so as his latest visual puts an emphasis on the color blue as if he be C-Walkin’ when the MTV cameras are turned off. In his black-and-white (and blue) visuals to “Ghetto Blues,” Nick Cannon rolls around California in a low rider to highlight the struggles that continue to plague those living in poverty and visions himself as a homeless man roaming the streets. Deep stuff here. Benny The Butche meanwhile continues on his tear through the game and for his Harry Fraud assisted clip to “Thanksgiving” breaks bread with his crew in the trap house while styling in some G’d up threads. Check out the rest of today’s drops and some joints you might’ve missed over...
In an interview with the Daily Star, Aloe Blacc referenced that he still has several unreleased collaborations and ideas that he started working on with Avicii—projects he hopes will eventually see the light of day. The powerhouse singer-songwriter behind two of Avicii’s biggest hits, “SOS” and “Wake Me Up,” has been vocal in years past about having several works with Avicii in progress. He indicated that he’s been in contact with Avicii’s team about the unreleased tracks in question, but they are ultimately still pending approval for official release. “I have a few tracks but I am not certain if his record label or family will release them,” Blacc told The Star‘s “Wired” column. “It’s really up ...
Elon Musk has been given a unique promotion of sorts. A recent Tesla filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission revealed that Musk has been given a new title, “Technoking of Tesla.” As Tesla’s new Technoking, the billionaire tech mogul and “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe” producer will continue to fulfill his duties as the electric vehicle and clean energy company’s CEO. Musk wasn’t the only leader within the company promoted. The same filing disclosed a new title for Tesla’s CFO, Zach Kirkhorn, who will now be known as the “Master of Coin.” Kirkhorn’s title is especially appropriate given the recent reveal that Tesla has made a substantial $1.5B investment into Bitcoin, an estimated 8% of the co...
This week at the Melbourne venue Yah Yah’s, Simona Castricum, a renowned DJ and transgender woman, was booted from the club’s restroom after being accosted by security. “A male security guard stood in the doorway of the women’s bathroom and pointed at me and yelled at me quite aggressively ‘out of the bathroom,’” she recounted in a statement to The Age. “I said, ‘I’m a woman, I’m a trans woman.'” Despite Castricum’s response, the security guard continued to yell until another woman came to the musician’s aid. The club has a gender-neutral restroom policy on Thursday nights, the evening of the incident. Castricum is credited for having written the city’s guidelines for inclusion of transgender and gender-diverse individuals at l...
Times are changing, and the truck of the future very likely won’t resemble the truck of the past. Alpha Motor Corporation understands and embraces this notion of change. Alpha, an electric vehicle startup company headquartered in Irvine, California, has a cool truck-looking vehicle in the works called the Alpha Wolf utility truck, and by golly, its throwback, retro cues and futuristic powertrain are quite intriguing to truck enthusiasts open-minded enough to give it a chance (once, or if, it reaches production). The Alpha Wolf electric truck shares a platform with the company’s Alpha Jax four-seater CUV. Additionally, the EV startup also has an Ace Coupe, Ace Performance Coupe, and Icon in its lineup. Unlike the bizarre shape of, say, the Tesla Cybertruck, the Wolf looks s...
