With the star of the franchise no longer here to carry it for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many have speculated how the sequel would work without Boseman donning the Wakandan vibranium in the next film. In a recent interview with Jemele Hill on her podcast, Unbothered, director and writer, Ryan Coogler spoke on working on Black Panther 2 without Boseman, and how it’s affected him personally. New Survey Reveals COVID-19 Has Influenced DJs to Stop Pursuing Music Careers

One year into safety regulations and social distancing measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the news that many DJs and other live performers have had to change career paths may still come as a shock to some, but it’s an ugly truth in a locked-down world.  According to a new survey by Pirate.com, 70% of responding DJs in the United Kingdom have been forced to retrain in other fields. While 29% of those DJs have moved into music production, a whopping 26% of respondents shared that the pandemic has made them less likely to pursue a career in the music industry altogether.  “I was running club nights in Glasgow,” said one anonymous respondent. “After cancellation clauses in contracts and flight companies going bankrupt, we’ve lost everything we’d investe...

While brief, it is far from cryptic, as Francis wrote that the two have had a collaboration in the works for some time and now is the time to finish it with Las Vegas’ Life Is Beautiful music festival on the horizon. “Time to Finish our collab for life is beautiful!” he texted, to which ILLENIUM responded with a simple yet emphatic confirmation. iZotope and Native Instruments Join Forces in Landmark Partnership

Prominent audio technology companies iZotope and Native Instruments have joined forces once again—this time, for good.  The past has seen iZotope introduce Native Kontrol Standard into its Ozone 9 mastering plugin. That collaborative effort, among many others, sent Native Instruments CEO Constantin Koehncke and iZotope CEO Mark Ethier down the rabbit hole of ideas for future team-ups.  However, the duo quickly realized that something much larger than a one-off collaboration was afoot. It became clear that a permanent partnership was inevitable.  Now, iZotope and Native Instruments have banded together to form a super-sized music and audio creation group. So what does that partnership mean? No concrete details have been given out just yet, but iZotope...

2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs Receive Grand Price Tags

With a base price of $59,995, the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer enters the scene as either an expensive mainstream full-size SUV or a bargain-priced luxury one. We’re tempted to view the new Jeep as the latter. Although the base Wagoneer Series I’s sub-$60,000 starting sum undercuts the entry-level 2021 Cadillac Escalade and 2021 Lincoln Navigator by almost $17,500, it strikes us as a model intended to strictly serve as a price leader. Even so, we’re sure it’ll come reasonably well-equipped given it costs over $8,000 more than a base 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2021 Ford Expedition, its more direct competitors. A Series of Wagoneer Trim Levels It seems Jeep hopes most consumers will skip past the Wagoneer Series I and drive off in the higher-end Series II model. At $69,995, the S...

Justin Bieber Found Inspiration From Action Movies to Prep For His ‘Hold On’ Daredevil Stunt

Justin Bieber was inspired by a few action-packed flicks before gearing up for a wild ride in his “Hold On” music video. Billboard‘s current cover star discussed his inspirations in the new Vevo Footnotes clip that was released on Thursday (March 11). Bieber and “Hold On” video director Colin Tilley took notes from The Place Beyond the Pines, Good Time and Hell or High Water, where the living-on-the-edge protagonists from all three movies rob banks to provide for their loved ones. Even though Bieber did most of his own motorcycle stunts, the cinematographer pulled off their own dangerous mission by crashing through the bank window to get the shot of Bieber escaping his heist and ended up getting 14 stitches. “Justin called me and said...

He’s upped the ante quite a bit! The ex-Beatle has personally enlisted an all-star group of artists to contribute their takes on a fresh version of the LP titled McCartney III Imagined. Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, Josh Homme, Anderson .Paak, Damon Albarn and Massive Attack are just some of the big-timers who lent their talents to the collection with either a new performance or a remix of the original tune. <!– // Brid Player Singles. var _bp = _bp||[]; _bp.push({ “div”: “Brid_10143537”, “obj”: {“id”:”25115″,”width...

IDLES Cover Sharon Van Etten’s “Peace Signs”: Stream

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of her 2010 album Epic, Sharon Van Etten is reissuing it as a double LP featuring a front-to-back covers album. Dubbed Epic Ten, our first sample of the reimagined tracks came from Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner’s Big Red Machine’s take on “A Crime”. Today, the second single has arrived, as SVE has shared IDLES’ cover of “Peace Signs”. The British outfit keeps things as close to the original as their post-punk sensibilities will allow them, with all the familiar progressions still in place. In IDLES’ hands, however, they’re riddled with anxieties and the searing tension of shredding guitars. Certainly the screaming repetition of “Peace signs” hits different coming from Joe Talbot’s growl rather than Sharon Van Etten’s voice. Take a listen to the cov...
