Marilyn Manson Dropped by Loma Vista Recordings Following Abuse Accusations
Following the news on Monday in which Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood said that Marilyn Manson “horrifically abused” her for years, Manson’s label, Loma Vista Recordings, announced that it would no longer be working with him. Manson’s recorded albums had been licensed to the label. Nigeria expects to receive 41 million Covid-19 vaccine doses from the African Union, the head of the country’s primary healthcare agency said on Monday, while the health minister said vaccines from Russia and India were being considered. Authorities in Africa’s most populous country, which has 200 million people, plan to inoculate 40% of the population this year and another 30% in 2022. The African Union initially secured 270 million Covid-19 vaccine doses from manufacturers for member states. Dustin Diamond, the actor best known for his role as Samuel “Screech” Powers on Saved By the Bell, has died at the age of 44. The actor was hospitalized in Florida last month after experiencing body pain and underwent testing before it was determined he had carcinoma, a form of cancer that starts in skin tissue or organ-lining tissue. A rep for Diamond confirmed the news of his death to SPIN. The statement said that Diamond was “diagnosed with this brutal, relentless form of malignant cancer only three weeks ago. Tony Bennett, the iconic singer of jazz, show tunes and standards, has shared that the singer has battled Alzheimer’s disease over the past four years in a new feature in AARP magazine. It was also revealed that Bennett has completed a second album with Lady Gaga that will drop this year. The unlikely duo previously teamed on 2011’s “The Lady Is a Tramp” and their 2014 Cheek To Cheek album. Evan Rachel Wood has accused Marilyn Manson of grooming and abuse that she says went on for years. Westworld star Wood released a statement on Instagram Monday morning (Feb. 1) that began, “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson,” Wood wrote. “He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission.” The pair were in a romantic relationship that began when Wood was 19 and Manson was 38.
