The White Stripes shared a previously unreleased video of the band’s performance of “Seven Nation Army” from their legendary 2007 Bonnaroo set. The 90-minute-plus set closed out the festival’s Which Stage, making it one of Bonnaroo’s last sets for that year. Jack White and Meg White played 23 songs that night, with covers including Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” Burt Bacharach’s “I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself” and songs from Blind Willie Johnson and Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band. No, it’s not some misunderstanding. Genesis have delayed the start of their The Last Domino? reunion tour with the message “We’re ready, but the world isn’t…yet!” The jaunt was originally supposed to kick off in November 2020 and then was moved to April 2021 due to the pandemic. It is now slated to launch at Dublin’s 3Arena on Sept. 15 and wrap up Oct. 13 after a three-night run at London’s 02 Arena. There are no U.S. dates announced yet. Dave Chappelle Tests Positive for COVID-19, Cancels Shows in Austin
Dave Chappelle tested positive for COVID-19 before his four-night run of shows at Thursday through Sunday at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin, Texas. He canceled all those shows, and Chappelle is quarantining, his representative said in a statement. The comedian is asymptomatic. “Chappelle implemented COVID-19 protocols which included rapid testing for the audience and daily testing for himself and his team. His diligent testing enabled him to immediately respond by quarantining, thus mitigating the spread of the virus. Chappelle is asymptomatic,” the statement read. Rapper Soulja Boy is being sued for sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress by a former assistant named in the complaint as Jane Doe. According to the complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by SPIN, the rapper, born DeAndre Cortez Way, hired Jane Doe to be his personal assistant in December 2018. He agreed to pay Doe $500 per week to live and work at Way’s Malibu residence. Doe alleges that Way started sending her unsolicited photos of his penis less than a month after she started working for him. According to the suit, the pair began a romantic relationship shortly thereafter, but things took a dark turn after the relationship ended a month later.
