Source: Win McNamee / Getty With January 20th approaching and Donald Trump about to vacate the White House (if his attempted coup d’état finally fails anyway), the Biden administration is planning on a top to bottom disinfection of the building as 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has become a breeding ground for COVID-19. Raw Story is reporting that the incoming Biden administration are taking no chances come Inauguration Day and will have a team of specially trained cleaners (that’s a thing?) to leave the White House as spic and span as humanly possible before Biden and his team enter the Oval Office. The executive mansion will get a deep clean after two COVID-19 outbreaks this fall led to President Donald Trump and members of his staff and family becoming infected. Nickelback’s 2005 “Photograph” video, which spawned endless memes, has been turned into a Google Photos ad. But this time around, singer Chad Kroeger is in on the joke, looking back at questionable phone photos with self-deprecating musical commentary. Kroger sings new lyrics to the 2005 hit while scrolling through his phone. “Is it my hair or just a ramen bowl?” he sings. “Time to braid it. Time to shave it.” It all began 15 years ago when “Photograph” was released as the first single for Nickelback’s fifth album, All the Right Reasons. The music video opens with Kroeger holding up a framed picture of himself and Nickelback’s producer Joey Moi. Nearly 200 million people have watched the video on YouTube since its release, so kudos to Google for snapping it up for an ad...
The estate of Chris Cornell has released a lyric video for the late Soundgarden singer’s cover of John Lennon‘s “Watching The Wheels.” The clip for the song, from the recently released posthumous Cornell covers album No One Sings Like You Anymore, opens with an image of Cornell strumming an acoustic guitar projected onto a sign on a busy city street. Bathed in deep red, the visual takes viewers on a tour around crowded cities, showing the kind of manic shoulder-to-shoulder hustle-bustle that is unthinkable during these COVID-19 pandemic times. With the lyrics about stepping out of the spotlight scrolling back and forth across the screen alongside images of Cornell jamming with his kids, the clip pays homage to the original’s genesis: Lennon’s decision to...

Elton John and husband David Furnish posted a throwback post honoring their sixth wedding anniversary on Monday while vowing to keep fighting for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. The couple, who’ve been together for 15 years, were married on Dec. 21, 2014, at their Windsor estate nine months after same-sex marriage became legal in England. But they fully realize that though they live a privileged, comfortable life, not everyone is as lucky and free as they are. “Today @davidfurnish and I are celebrating two anniversaries: 15 years of Civil Partnership and 6 years of marriage,” John wrote in a post that included a snap of the happy couple in their wedding suits. “Our relationship gets stronger every day, and I am extremely grateful for the love we share ...

Still, last year also brought a new record for the lengthiest Hot 100 hit by run time: Tool’s “Fear Inoculum” spent a week at No. 93, on the Aug. 17, 2019-dated tally, becoming the first song in the chart’s history with a run time exceeding 10 minutes (10:21).
