Sia, who is making her directorial debut with the upcoming musical drama Music, released a new song, “Hey Boy,” from her just-announced album, which will also serve as the film’s soundtrack. The LP, Music – Songs From And Inspired By The Motion Picture, will contain 14 songs, including the previously released tracks “Together” and “Courage to Change. Sia announced the release of the official album for her upcoming film, Music, on Thursday (Nov. 19). The singer’s eighth studio release, Music — Songs From and Inspired by the Motion Picture, will drop on Feb. 12 through Monkey Puzzle/Atlantic and feature the bouncy new funk pop single, “Hey Boy,” which also dropped on Thursday. The album was written for and inspired by the film directed and co-written by the Grammy-nominated singer. Dolly Parton said she was “just shocked” when she heard the news news that a $1 million donation she made to fund research into a COVID-19 vaccine has panned out. “I’m a very proud girl today to know that I had anything at all to do with something that’s gonna help us through this crazy pandemic,” Parton told BBC’s The One Show on Tuesday (Nov. 17). The legacy of the late rock god Eddie Van Halen will be felt on Billboard’s charts next week, as “Distance,” a tribute song to him by his 29-year-old son Wolfgang Van Halen, is set to impact a number of tallies. Billed as by Mammoth WVH, “Distance” was released on Nov. 16 and has sold 9,000 downloads in the U.S. through Nov. 17, according to initial sales reports to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. On Thursday (Nov. 19), Guns N’ Roses announced an eight-date tour of Australasia, kicking off Nov. 6 at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast.
