Source: press handount / King Von Just days after Chicago rapper King Von was shot and killed during a brawl outside of the Monaco Hookah Lounge in downtown Atlanta, authorities have announced that an arrest was made in the homicide case. ABC 7 Chicago is reporting that 22-year-old Timothy Leeks has been booked and is facing murder charges for the death of Dayvon Bennett a.k.a. King Von. Leeks is currently in custody at an Atlanta hospital where he’s being treated for his own gunshot wound he suffered during the shootout that claimed the lives of Von and three other people last Friday night. Queens of the Stone Age to Share Unreleased Concert to Benefit 2015 Paris Terrorist Attack Victims
To honor and assist the victims and families of the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks that killed 89 concert-goers at the Bataclan Theatre during an Eagles of Death Metal show, Queens of the Stone Age will release previously unseen acoustic footage as part of a fundraising event for the Nick Alexander Memorial Trust and Life for Paris charities. A total of 130 people were killed across the city, including, at the Bataclan, EODM merchandise manager Nick Alexander, who the trust is named for. The footage, which is from a 2018 acoustic set performed for the Children’s Hospital of Hobart in Tasmania, will premiere on the Queens of the Stone Age YouTube channel at 12 pm ET on Nov. 13. The Pretty Reckless have been pretty open about their appreciation for Soundgarden. And earlier this fall, they showed their love for one of Seattle’s greatest with a cover of “Loud Love,” off the band’s 1989 sophomore record, Louder Than Love. Lead singer Taylor Momsen initially performed the song live with the surviving members of Soundgarden at “I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell” concert last year. But then the Pretty Reckless recorded their own rendition for Octane’s “Home Invasion” festival in September. The second installment in the David Bowie Brilliant Live Adventures (BLA) series has been announced with No Trendy Réchauffé (Live Birmingham 95), which arrives Nov. 20 on two LPs and on CD. The BLA releases are a series of six live albums from the 1990s which will be released on vinyl and CD as limited one-run-only pressings. Released on Paralphone, limited-edition boxes for both vinyl and CD to house the full collection will be available; the first three albums and the special limited edition boxes will be released pre-Christmas, with the remaining three albums coming early next year. Tori Amos wants to get everyone in the holiday spirit a little early, and today (Nov. 9) she announced a festive new four-song EP, Christmastide. Dropping on Dec. 4 via Decca Records, the EP will come in a digital format as well as a limited edition vinyl featuring illustrations by Rantz Hosely, a special Christmas card and a message from Amos.
