Source: WENN/Avalon / WENN The A’s Rap community continues to encourage fans and locals alike to make sure their voice is heard with this upcoming election. Big Boi has given back to city essentials workers in a thoughtful way. As spotted on TMZ the still very active OutKast member is putting his money where his mouth if when it comes to our boots to the ground representation in Atlanta. On Saturday, October 24 the “SpottieOttieDopaliscious” rapper partnered with Postmates and World Central Kitchen to serve meals to poll workers. He used the app to send over trays of shrimp tacos and pan-seared chicken. The gesture was well received by the staff as the city has been facing massing lines during the early voting phase. Source: Paul Bergen / Getty Fire the President already. That’s the theme of De La Soul‘s new song titled “Remove 45” featuring a woke line up of guests MCs; Styles P, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, Mysonne and Chuck D. “It’s hard to spread harmony when his policies are for harm,” spits Pos Dnous. A Chuck D’s sample supplies the hook and the Public Enemy frontman also drops a verse of his own. A lot of filthy bars on this one, and they appropriately drag Donald Trump for filth. [embedded content] Unfortunately, De La’s Tommy Boy Records catalog of classic tunes is still in streaming limbo. But, they do reportedly have a new album in the works with production from DJ Premier and Pete Rock. Oh yeah, vote on Nov. 3, if you haven’t already. Source: Tom Williams / Getty Beloved by most, hated by many, and annoyed by others, Charlamange Tha God‘s “no hairs on my tongue” way of life has helped turn him from a radio personality to New York Times best-selling author. According to Page Six, Tha God just inked a “multi-year deal, multi-project deal” with Amazon’s online podcast platform, Audible. Naturally, this news only and adds more fuel to the burning rumor that he would be leaving the show that made him a household name, The Breakfast Club. On Tuesday, Audible announced that Charlamagne and Kevin Hart are working together on a series of shows for the company. “The slate of episodic long-form Audible Originals will feature fiction and nonfiction scripted series from both emerging and high wattage superstar talent that the two en...

The Flaming Lips document their socially distanced “bubble” show in Oklahoma City with their new “Assassins of Youth” video. Despite the strangeness of seeing attendees in their own individual bubbles, everyone appears to be having a good time. It’s part rave, part Lips extravaganza, and everyone gets in on the action — including singer Wayne Coyne, who walks atop the crowd in his own bubble (a staple of the Lips’ concerts for quite a while now). Coyne, who also directed the video, detailed the filming process in a statement. “Of course, our MAIN priority (when doing the performance for the music video) was making sure everyone was safe and all the health cautions were being enforced,” he said. “But there was a welcome side effect: ‘I forgot about how exciting and fun and ridiculous i...
Alfa Romeo was a monster of post-war racing on land, winning a number of what we’d now consider Formula 1 races with the Alfetta 158/159 powered by a very small-displacement, supercharged straight-eight engine. This car was monumentally successful at the hands of drivers like Juan Manual Fangio and Nino Farina. But, less well known to us car enthusiasts, this engine (and other motorsports engines from the company) also had very successful careers on the water. The Arno II, seen above, was powered by an Alfa 158 engine (and is parked next to its Grand Prix car relative). All told, the boats in this exhibit racked up 11 world records, six world championships, and a number of European and Italian championships. Alfa Romeo developed marine engines and supported race efforts for decades, ...
