Chaka Khan Says She’s Done Collaborating With Other Women — Even Ariana Grande

Chaka Khan has no interest in collaborating with her fellow female singers anymore, according to a very candid new interview. While chatting with VladTV (watch below), the legendary singer told host Luenell which artists she would consider working with. But when Ariana Grande‘s name was mentioned, Khan brushed her off. “She’s all right, she’s good on her own. … Plus, I don’t want to sing with another woman. I ain’t got nothing to say with a woman.” What makes Chaka’s answer especially surprising is that the pair just teamed up last year on “Nobody” for the 2019 Charlie’s Angels soundtrack, which Grande co-executive-produced in 2019. In a red-carpet interview for Variety‘s&n...

Joe Biden Beats Comrade Donald Trump In Early Town Hall Ratings

Source: Chip Somodevilla / Getty Donald Trump isn’t going to like this bit of surprise news. Joe Biden’s Town Hall over on ABC beat out the President’s Town Hall over on MSNBC, per early results. Considering the slow-moving train wreck that is all things Donald Trump, more eyes tuning in to the former Vice President seems like evidence of Cheeto fatigue. Reports The Wrap: On ABC, Biden drew 12.7 million viewers from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. On NBC alone, Trump got 10.4 million viewers in the same time slot. Including the full 9 o’clock hour for Biden, the ABC event’s viewership average was 12.2 million. Biden also beat Trump among adults 18-49, with a 2.6 rating to the president’s 1.7 rating. The numbers aren’t final due to a myriad of reasons. One in particular is that Trump’s was also simulcast ...

Kodak Black Is Moved From Alleged Torture Prison To New Penitentiary

Source: FayesVision – WENN / WENN While he still has a sizeable amount of time left to serve all signs are pointing to Kodak Black’s remaining stint being far more enjoyable. His request to be transferred to a new facility has been granted. As spotted on TMZ he has been removed from a Kentucky prison. The change is deliberate as the “Tunnel Vision” rapper has been very vocal about allegedly being poorly treated by the staff. The man now known as Bill Kapri claimed that the guards deliberately manhandled him due to his celebrity status. Earlier this year he filed a legal motion stating he was being tortured by Big Sandy correctional officers. Additionally he was apparently denied the opportunity to visit his Rabbi on several occasions. According to the report Kodak was shipped via bus ...

Nike Sues Warren Lotas For Customizing Their Classic “Pigeon” SB Dunks

Source: @warrenlotas / Instagram For years custom sneaker artists have been taking some of the game’s most popular Nikes and Jordans and remixing them into some creative and interesting colorways, but one of them seems to have rubbed Nike the wrong way and is now facing a lawsuit thanks to his work. Highsnobiety is reporting that customizer Warren Lotas has just been sued by the sneaker giant just a few weeks after Lotas began selling some custom sneakers that bared a similar resemblance to Nike’s classic Jeff Staple Pigeon SB Dunks that made sneaker history when it dropped in 2005. Coming in the same colorway as the OG Pigeons, Warren’s remix featured the Nike swoosh with a Jason Vorhees mask and Jeff Staple’s signature pigeon on the heel just like the original. Though this isn’t Lotas’ f...

Twitter Changes ‘Hacked Materials’ Policy After Republican Snowflakes Cried About Blocked Tweets

Source: PRAKASH SINGH / Getty Twitter has been pretty firm on its strong stance against sharing misinformation and straight-up nonsense on its service that could impact the presidential election. But the social media company had to revise one of its policies following some belly-aching from right-wing snowflakes. This week the New York Post, who isn’t shy about their love for Donald Trump, dropped a story about Hunter Biden that got its information from emails from a real shady source *coughs* Rudy Guiliani. Twitter wasn’t here for it and began blocking links to the fake news shared by right-wing accounts claiming that it violated its policies when it comes to sharing “hacked materials.” As expected, Republican officials cried about Twitter blocking the story and claimed that Twitter was o...

The Hold Steady Announce 10th Anniversary Edition of Heaven Is Whenever, Share Unreleased Song

The Hold Steady’s fifth album, Heaven Is Whenever, is turning 10 this year. (Where has the time gone?) To mark the anniversary, the band announced a new double-LP reissue, out on Black Friday, Nov. 27. The Deluxe Edition, available on black vinyl and limited-edition colored vinyl, features nine rare or previously unreleased tracks, including the newly issued “Separate Vacations.” Listen below. Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers penned the liner notes, and here’s what he had to say about the record: “HEAVEN IS WHENEVER saw one of the most loved bands of this, then still-new century take a perceived stumble and face a small comeuppance. It happens. Many bands don’t survive it, much less come out the other side intact and possibly better than ever…A lesser band might have imploded....

Maroon 5’s ‘Nobody’s Love’ Remix Has an Unexpected Guest Feature: Listen

The original version of “Nobody’s Love” has so far charted at No. 41 on the Hot 100 after being released earlier this summer, and marks the pop act’s first single since the departure of original bassist Mickey Madden. The track follows the success of the band’s 2019 hit “Memories,” which peaked at No. 2 last September. Both songs are expected to be featured on the band’s upcoming, as-yet-untitled seventh studio album — itself a follow-up to 2017’s Red Pill Blues. Meanwhile, Popcaan’s fourth studio album, Fixtape, dropped in August featuring collaborations with Drake (“All I Need” and “Twist & Turn,” also featuring Partynextdoor), French Montana (“Murda” with Preme) and more. The danceh...

Elton John Shares ‘Here’s To the Next Time’ From Elton: Jewel Box

Elton John has just released two songs from his upcoming Elton: Jewel Box — one from his Rarities set and “Billy and the Kids” off the B-Sides. “Here’s to the Next Time” was recorded in DJM Studios in 1967 when he was still known as Reg Dwight. It was the B-side to John’s debut single, “I’ve Been Loving You.” [embedded content] He also shared “Billy and the Kids,” which is part of the B-Side record in Jewel Box. Recorded in 1986, it was released as a B-side, despite fans thinking that it should have been part of his 1986 album, Leather Jackets. Elton: Jewel Box will release on Nov. 13 via UMC/EMI. John previously released “Regimental Sgt. Zippo” as well as a collaboration with Gorillaz and 6lack, “The Pink Phantom.” And while concerts are still on the back burner this year, John annou...

Watch Nick Cave Perform ‘Euthanasia’ From Idiot Prayer Livestream

Earlier this year, Nick Cave performed a solo set at London’s Alexandra Palace that was livestreamed for a ticketed audience. The set will be released later this year both in theaters and as a proper album. Now a previously unreleased song from that show has emerged. The tender piano track “Euthanasia” was debuted during the stream and recorded during the Skeleton Tree era (around 2016). And as you can imagine, it has pretty haunting lyrics. [embedded content] The Idiot Prayer film will be released in select theaters on Nov. 5, with the album following on Nov. 20. See the tracklisting for the latter below. Justin Bieber & Benny Blanco Team Up for ‘Lonely’: Watch the Video

“He was real nervous. He was like, ‘S—. Should I be putting this out into the world?’ Because he’s like, ‘People know me for this thing and it’s like I’ve never been this raw,'” Blanco said of JB’s song. “He’s raw on this song. This song brought us so much closer together. And it was just he’s really opening up on this and he’s super vulnerable. “We were just talking about we all play this Superman every day,” he continued. “I’m sure you do for your family, for your friends, and everyone’s counting on you for so many things. You do a lot of stuff for a lot of people and sometimes you get f—ed up. I know for sure it doesn’t matter. You do. I do. We all...
