Uncle Luke Surprised As Wife Files For Divorce After 12 Years Of Marriage

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty After more than a decade of wedded bliss, 2 Live Crew’s Uncle Luke seems to be on the cusp of being a single man once again, and the worst part is he never saw it coming. According to Page Six the 90’s Hip-Hop legend was “blindsided” when his wife, Kristin Thompson, decided to file for divorce after 12 years of marriage. Interestingly enough the decision to separate left the “Doo Doo Brown” rapper speechless as he held his vows sacred and never intended to jump the broom only to eventually throw it all away. Luke said in a statement that Kristin Thompson filed for a split on July 17. “It’s mind-boggling, hurtful, and a total surprise. I never intended to get married to get divorced,” he said, “That’s not in my DNA nor my family’s history. I believe in the sacre...

Desus & Mero Chopped It Up With Skateboard Legend, Tony Hawk

Source: Showtime / Showtime Last night (Sept. 27) for their 250th episode, “New York Miracle,” Desus & Mero turned in another hilarious show. In-between all the jokes and silliness, the Bronx dup gave skateboard heads a treat when they had a virtual sit-down with the 900 legend himself, Tony Hawk. After talking about the remastering of the classic video game Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, the skating icon talks about his charity, The Skate Park Project which tries to fund skate parks in “underserved areas” for the kids, and how his older brother’s surfing inspired him to pick up a skateboard and make history. While he admits he began skating “mostly for transportation” he remembers it all changed when “at some point I went to a skate park for the first time and when I saw people flying a...

On Monday, Gallagher took over SiriusXM’s Lithium for a two-hour chat to discuss the 25th anniversary of 1995’s (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, which features classics like “Champagne Supernova” and “Wonderwall.” Throughout the DJ set, which runs from 10 a.m. ET to 12 p.m. ET, Gallagher details some of his favorite tracks on the group’s second LP and shares stories from his and brother Liam’s creative process — like how Noel nearly sang lead on “Wonderwall.” The anniversary falls on Oct. 2, the release date for a new vinyl reissue. Paul McCartney, the Who, the Cure, More Sharing Unseen Live Footage

The Who’s Roger Daltrey is tasked each year with putting on the Teenage Cancer Trust’s annual concert series at London’s Royal Albert Hall. But when the pandemic halted organizers’ plans for a major gig supporting the U.K. organization, Daltrey recruited some friends for a creative workaround. The Teenage Cancer Trust Unseen will take place Oct. 8 to 18, streaming unseen concert footage from the Who, Paul McCartney, the Cure, Ed Sheeran, Noel Gallagher, Them Crooked Vultures, Muse and more. The sets span several years, with McCartney’s Oct. 11 set recorded back in 2012. The material will streaming for free on the trust’s recently launched YouTube channel, but organizers are still urging fans to donate. “I know things are really tight for everyone at the moment, our whol...

Lucid Air Tri-Motor Prototype Aims to Usurp the Tesla Model S Plaid

Jump in your time machine children, because it’s time to head all the back to the year 2017. A specially modified version of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat—called the Demon—ran the quarter-mile in 9.7 seconds. Yes, it had pizza-cutter front wheels, was missing three seats, drank 100-octane race gas, ran on a prepped drag surface, and took advantage of a weather phenomenon called “mineshaft air” (where the barometer drops to the pressure you’d see 650 feet below sea level). Dodge achieved this result exactly once (an engineer I spoke with who was there said it was a non-repeatable number—he knows because he tried) and never bothered to hand out a single press car so that any sort of third-party could verify the claim. Still, ask everyone on the internet what the quicke...

Polestar Precept Show Car Gets the Green Light

It was supposed to be a flight of fancy. A vision quest, a commitment car, and a bunch of other adjectives, all of which led Polestar to go so far as to forgo calling its Precept show car a “concept.” Despite this, Polestar is now sending the well-received, low-slung electric sedan into production at a new plant in China. Expected name: Polestar 4. Polestar, the electric performance vehicle brand jointly owned by Volvo Car Group and Zhejiang Geely Holding, is still fledging. The first offering in 2017, appropriately named the Polestar 1, was a plug-in hybrid grand touring coupe. But the brand’s mandate soon became all-electric cars only, and to that end, the 2021 Polestar 2 arrives as a battery-electric sedan that delivers 408 hp, 487-lb-ft of torque, and a targ...

Last Friday, “Mood” ended the three-week reign of “WAP.” 24kGoldn could land another track in the Top 10. The rising British rapper is a guest artist on Clean Bandit’s “Tick Tock” (Atlantic),...
