You Care: Beyoncé & Jay-Z Spotted Out For Dinner With Solange In NYC

Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty Apparently, Beyoncé and Jay-Z do the same things most couples do, like go out with friends and fam. The Hip-Hop power couple was spotted out having dinner in New York City, and Solange was there, too. Page Six has the stalker-like details. Beyoncé and Jay-Z were spotted having a late-night dinner Saturday with Bey’s sister, Solange, and two friends at Scarpetta in NoMad. A spy told us, “They were immediately taken to a private area outside. Jay-Z was seen browsing the wine menu and landed on a nice bottle of red. Beyoncé wore a tan long jacket, orange hat and snakeskin heels, and made sure to keep her face mask on until her food arrived.” They had fried chicken, lots of pasta and cheesecake for dessert. Can it really be that private if it was outside and clearly...

Two electronic music acts you’d never expect to join forces have teamed up for an unlikely collaboration. Touring Superleggera’s Aero 3 Is an Ode to an Italian Legend

Before you consider the new Touring Superleggera Aero 3, think of Carrozzaria Touring Superleggera itself, the Milanese coachbuilder and design house that thrived in the 1930s-1960s. You’re instantly prone to visions of the gorgeous, streamlined, almost fragile-looking automotive creations that emerged from its doors. Those cars often did so with Touring’s signature Superleggera or “super lightweight” construction methods, which stretch nearly paper-thin alloy panels over featherweight tubular structural frames. The first car to feature this Superleggera styling was a special 1937 Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 B earmarked for the famous Mille Miglia 1000-mile open–road race occurring in the same year. It’s fitting, then, that Touring’s new Aero 3 pays a homag...

2021 Nissan Maxima Gets Feature-Filled 40th Anniversary Edition

We don’t completely agree with Nissan’s claim that the Maxima is a sport sedan—its too soft and lacks the ultimate agility that aligns with the best of that breed, but we will go along with the idea that it’s a sporty sedan. We appreciate its potent V-6 engine, well-tuned ride, and plush interior. For 2021, the Nissan Maxima gets a little but sweeter—but no sportier—thanks a new special edition celebrating the nameplate’s 40th anniversary in the U.S. We know, right—can you believe the Maxima’s been around for four decades? It indeed has, launching as a trim of the Datsun 810 in 1981 and subsequently becoming Nissan’s longest-running nameplate in America, and this special version of the current, eighth-generation car features a variety of cosmetic up...

A Supreme Court Without RBG May Impact Hollywood’s Grip on Intellectual Property

When Ruth Bader Ginsburg died on Friday at the age of 87, the country lost a true champion of equality. The story of the “Notorious R.B.G.,” the Supreme Court’s second female justice, has been told repeatedly in media, books, and films including RBG and On the Basis of Sex. From being an architect of the women’s rights movement in the 1970s to spending her later years on the high court fighting for the rights of the less advantaged (see for example her concurring opinion just months ago in Comcast v. NAAAOM), her lifetime of service will deservedly be lionized. But there was a less noticed aspect of Ginsburg — and her untimely loss will influence the course of industry. On Oct. 7, the U.S. Supreme Court holds an oral argument in Google LLC v. Oracle America Inc., th...

Ava Max’s ‘Heaven & Hell’ Leads Action-Packed Midweek U.K. Chart

Ava Max’s debut album Heaven & Hell (Atlantic) blasts into an early lead in what’s shaping as a classic U.K. chart race. Heaven & Hell leads an action-packed midweek chart, ahead of Live At The Roundhouse (Sony Music CG), the 2019 live recording from Saucerful of Secrets, the prog-rock supergroup of Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason. The top five is bunched tight at the halfway point. According to the Official Charts Company, just 1,700 chart sales separate Heaven & Hell from the current fifth-ranked album, Potter Payper’s Training Day 3 (2020 Potter Payper). Also cracking the lead pack, at No. 3, is Yusuf / Cat Stevens’ Tea For The Tillerman 2 (UMC), a rerecording of the veteran singer-songwriter’s 1970 set which originally peaked at No. 20. Hip-hop outfit Run The Jewels reen...

Jimmy Kimmel Responds to Low Emmys Ratings

Jimmy Kimmel addressed the all-time-low ratings for the 72nd annual Emmys ceremony, which he hosted, at the top of his ABC show on Monday. “Well, I hosted the virtual Emmys last night. They’re saying it was the highest-rated Emmys ever. Oh, the lowest? Oh, all right,” he joked during his monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in his first episode back from a summer-long vacation (Live! was hosted, in Kimmel’s absence, by several guest hosts including Anthony Anderson and Billy Porter). “Well, we set a record, let’s just say that.” The 2020 Emmys, which aired on ABC, pulled in 6.1 million viewers and a 1.2 rating for the 18-49 age demographic, per time-adjusted Nielsen numbers. It’s the second consecutive year the show has had record-low ratings: Fox’s 201...

Dave Chappelle Tells Critics “Shut The F*ck Forever” During Latest Emmys Acceptance Speech

Source: The Washington Post / Getty Dave Chappelle gives minimal f*cks about his critics, and he said as much during his acceptance speech for his latest Emmy Awards last night (Sept. 20). Chappelle’s Netflix special nabbed wins in the Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, and Outstanding Variety Special (Prerecorded) categories. The renowned comedian picked up a three Emmys for his Sticks & Stones Netflix special and told his detractors to “shut the f*ck up forever” while graciously accepting his award. “I read all the reviews, and they said so many terrible things,” said Chappelle, puffing on a cigarette and rocking a cozy, sleeveless full-lengh quilted coat. “They were embarrassed for me; I’d lost my way; it wasn’t even worth wa...
