Tiësto Signs With Atlantic Records, Shares Preview of Kickoff Single “The Business”
After teasing “something big” earlier in the week, dance music legend Tiësto has spilled the beans on his momentous signing to Atlantic Records. Along with the announcement came a preview of the first single to be released as a result of the newly minted partnership, the aptly-titled “The Business.” With his exclusive worldwide signing to Atlantic, Tiësto is “poised to once again lead the next evolution of electronic dance music,” reads a press release. Nine Inch Nails’ Soundtracks for Quake and The Social Network Reissued on Vinyl
Over the past decade or so, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have become two of the most sought after composers in Hollywood. Now, two of Nine Inch Nails’ earlier soundtracks have been reissued on vinyl. In 1996, Reznor composed the score for Quake, a first-person shooter game and it’s on vinyl for the first time. Additionally, 2010’s score for The Social Network has been reissued on 180g vinyl. Reznor and Finch won a 2010 Academy Award for Best Original Score for the film. Family of Breonna Taylor Settle Wrongful Death Lawsuit For $12 Million

However, they have reached a settlement in the wrongful death civil suit filed against the city of Louisville. According to CNN, the family of Taylor and the city reached a $12 million settlement in the wrongful death case six months after the 26-year old EMT was murdered in her home while she slept. Steve Earle and the Dukes to Record Album With Songs Written By Justin Townes Earle
Following his death in August, many tributes poured in remembering late singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle. His father, Steve Earle, shared a poignant tweet of the two when his son was a teen. Now, the elder Earle will pay tribute to his son by recording a new album comprised of songs written by Townes Earle. The album is slated to be recorded in October with a January 2021 release date. The album will be in conjunction with what would have been Townes Earle’s 39th birthday. All of the artist advance funds and royalties will go to a trust for Justin’s daughter and Steve’s granddaughter, Etta St. James Earle.
