Tommy Lee is hard at work preparing for the release of his solo album, Andro, but after dropping his first two lead singles from the record, the iconic Mötley Crüe drummer has had time to reflect. In a recent interview with Australia’s HEAVY Magazine, Lee ruminated on his internal instincts as an artist and how his many sonic influences are sneaking into his workflow in a variety of forms. To better illustrate his point, Lee brought up Skrillex, who was clearly top-of-mind. Lee expressed a certain creative alignment with Skrillex due to their shared appreciation for electronic and metal and shared instinct to take their music into heavier sonic territory. “What I do, though, is if you think about it, and if you listen to the beats, a lot of the sounds on t...

As the celebration of Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan and T. Rex.‘s release continues, Kesha has now brought her own glamorous performance of T. Rex’s “Children of the Revolution” to The Late Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Covered in silver paint and chainlinks, she gives the 1972 single an extraterrestrial look. Eels shared the second single, “Are We Alright Again,” from the group’s upcoming Earth to Dora album, which drops on Oct. 30 via E Works/PIAS. The song was written in the early days of the pandemic and “is a “kind of a quarantine daydream that I needed to have,” singer E (aka Mark Oliver Everett) said in a statement. With the exception of “Are We Alright Again,” the songs on Earth to Dora “came about just before the pandemic hit and changed everything. I’m hoping they can be, maybe kind of soothing or something. To hear songs dealing with things we are dreaming about getting back to,” E said. Check out “Are We Alright Again” below. You’re probably not in the market for a pursuit vehicle/cop car, and the closest we at MotorTrend will get to one (hopefully) is a week behind the wheel—which, to be fair, is pretty dang sweet. But for most drivers, there’s still something awesomely intriguing about police vehicles—they’re like forbidden fruit most people will never taste. But we can at least learn about them, and the latest such rides from Dodge, the 2021 Charger Pursuit sedan and 2021 Durango Pursuit SUV, are now in the wild and available for order. See all 11 photos Built with direct input from the Police Advisory Board and officers themselves, Dodge’s fleet of pursuit vehicles are claimed to be technologically advanced and packed full of law enforcement-friendly features. The Charger P...
Labeling a new-car debut story as a “First Look,” as we do here at MotorTrend, can prove slightly limiting on occasion. What if a new vehicle, say, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson, invites second, third, or even seventh looks? If you have only one look to give, however, we say make it last as long as possible with Hyundai’s all-new compact crossover. What’s New? Nearly Everything The current Tucson has been on sale since 2015, having been last fully redesigned for the 2016 model year. It’s a competent if unassuming entry in the competitive compact crossover segment. (It places midpack in our rankings of the class.) The 2022 Hyundai Tucson, on the other hand, is almost entirely new, with fresh styling, new hybrid powertrain options, and a massively overhauled interior....

As the live music circuit has been brought to a halt this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, artists—and dance music artists especially—have gravitated toward the livestream medium to stay in touch with their fans. However, musical artists were quite dismayed with a recent update shared by Facebook regarding the platform’s music guidelines. In the update, Facebook states that effective October 1st, their platform and products may not be used to create a “music listening experience.” It was the use of that phrase that caused quite a stir. With the threat of having an account banned or a business page deleted for potentially violating the terms, the news has left many on edge. Facebook has since added color to the original statement highlighting that most of the g...
