2021 GMC Sierra 1500 and HD First Look: Towing Upgrades, Cheaper Diesel
Just two years after the GMT T1XX-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups launched, GMC is stirring the pot with useful new features designed to relieve some of the stresses of towing a trailer. That’s a great place to innovate, given that more than half of Sierra 1500 owners and 90-plus percent of Sierra HD owners report towing regularly. And there are a few other upgrades coming for 2021 as well. Trailer Length Indicator Flip on the turn signal of a 2021 GMC Sierra and the center display will show a blind-spot view of the side you’re heading toward, just like on lots of Genesis, Honda, Hyundai, and Kia vehicles, but GMC will shade the road surface in red hashmarks to indicate the area covered by the trailer (actually, twice the length of the trailer, for safety)...
Kaskade Loses Bid to Thwart Financial Subpoena in KAOS Nightclub Lawsuit
A U.S. magistrate judge has rebuked an effort by Kaskade to withhold information on concerts the DJ played in the wake of the closure of the KAOS nightclub is Las Vegas and ordered the performer to pay the hotel’s attorneys’ fees for the cost of enforcing a subpoena. Ryan Raddon, who performs as Kaskade, is suing F.P. Holdings, a limited partnership connected to the Palms Casino Resort, for breach of contract over his residency deal at the KAOS nightclub, which closed in November after six months of operation. Famed electronic music producer Derrick May has been accused of sexual assault by Michael James, a former Detroit-based colleague. Six dollars goes a long way these days. At Sotheby’s first-ever hip-hop auction, a crown purchased for $6 for a Notorious B.I.G. photoshoot by photographer Barron Claiborne sold for a whopping $574,750. The photoshoot took place on March 6, 1997, three days before B.I.G. was murdered in Los Angeles in 1997.
