Source: VCG / Getty Future and Eliza “Reign” Seraphin’s child support saga has taken an interesting turn after the pair settled on a surprisingly low monthly payment for their one-year-old daughter, Reign Wilburn. As reported by Madamenoire, Future has been ordered to pay $3,200 per month to Seraphin until their daughter turns 18 years old. Originally, he offered $1,000 after Seraphin demanded $53,000. Both proposals were rejected, which is why their settled amount raises more questions than answers. Last year Forbes released its annual “World’s 20 Top-Earning Hip-Hop Stars” list, ranking the 36-year-old rapper in the 17th slot for earning an estimated $19.5 million between June 2018 and June 2019. Considering he’s been a super troll on social media for throwing sublimina...
Billie Joe Armstrong has been no stranger to covers throughout quarantine, but his latest rendition of a new wave classic might just take the cake for his best yet. The Green Day frontman just dropped his Amazon Original cover of Wreckless Eric’s “Whole Wide World” on Friday. The punk legend takes the 1977 Nick Lowe-produced track that’s fairly faithful to the original with some extra tambourine and clapping here. The track follows a summer filled with weekly covers, including Eric Carmen’s “That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll” and The Wonders’ “That Thing You Do!” from the 1996 film of the same out of tribute to the late Adam Schlesinger. He’s also covered Tommy James & The Shondells’ “I Think We’re Alone Now,” “Manic Monday” with Bangles singer Susannah Hoffs, Johnny T...
As one of the most ubiquitous voices in dance music, VASSY and her powerful pipes have permeated through the festival circuit and dance music industry at large for nearly a decade. Belting with a unique vigor rarely heard in electronic music, she is responsible for some of the most inescapable anthems of the 2010s, helping shape a robust festival landscape responsible for proliferating the genre in the states. One of those tracks has now landed VASSY in the elusive APRA AMCOS 1 billion stream club. Her April 2014 big room bomb “Bad,” a seminal collaboration with David Guetta and Showtek, is responsible for the milestone. With its quirky yet gritty sound design and lyrics that urge listeners to unleash their rebellious side, the single went on to become somewhat of a generationa...

Porsche has a long history of winning at Pikes Peak. Before this weekend, its trophy count stood at 27. Now make it 29, as two entrants in the Race to the Clouds snagged division trophies this weekend. In fact, the fastest car took third overall—a Porsche 911 GT2 RS—just behind two open-wheeled hillclimb specials. Three cars based on the GT2 RS, and four Cayman GT4 Clubsports, competed for the prize. The best result came from David Donner in a 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, taking the Time Attack 1 Division win with a 9:36.6—good enough for third overall. Blake “Bilko” Williams also took a class win in the Porsche Pikes Peak Trophy by Yokohama class with a 10:52.6 (he also nabbed 16th place overall). Two other 911 GT2 RS-based cars competed: a 935-19 piloted by veteran Je...
Metallica has been a mainstay of rock music since the early 1980s, but what is the key to decades-long success? Lars Ulrich gave his thoughts during a wide-ranging interview on Thursday (Sept. 3) with Zane Lowe on Apple Music. “So obviously you know, in all seriousness, that we wear our age proud and yes, we are hitting 40 as a band next year,” he explained. “I think for the last few weeks as I’ve heard myself talk about the state of Metallica, the state of the world, and this next record. Just so much of our energy and our focus is always in the future. Sometimes even too much in the future where I’d say sometimes it feels like you should pay more attention to the present. But the one place we spend the least amount of time is in the past.̶...
United Talent Agency CEO Jeremy Zimmer told staff Wednesday of impending increases in pay for hourly employees. In a memo to staff on Wednesday, United Talent Agency CEO Jeremy Zimmer delivered both “positive” and “difficult” news, writing that the agency would be reinstating full pay to its employees in the next two weeks, but would also be laying off 50 staffers. The layoffs will affect both current and some furloughed employees across several divisions, at both the assistant and agent level. (The agency will cover the COBRA health insurance payments of that laid off for an indeterminate period of time.) In May, UTA, which employs more than 1,1...

Over the weekend, Dave Grohl answered 1o-year-old phenom Nandi Bushell’s challenge to a drum-off and played Foo Fighters’ “Everlong” — which he said he hasn’t played since originally recording it. He then busted out “Dead End Friends” by Them Crooked Vultures. Grohl finished it by playfully challenging Bushell to respond. And she did. In a new video posted to her YouTube channel, Bushell (dressed just like Grohl) took on “Dead End Friends”, which features the phrases “Grohl rocks” and “Rock for equality” with the Os turned into peace signs. To up the ante even more, the young musician imitated nearly every move the Foo Fighters frontman did as well. After powering through the tune, Bushell screamed “CHECKMATE!” She continued by saying “The rock Gods are smiling upon us.” Up...

But when it came to him and his wife, Lauren Hashian, things were a bit more challenging for the couple. The Rock is very much the sta...

Source: Marc Serota / Getty One of the most beloved sporting leagues in the world is attempting to right their past wrongs. Roger Goodell is making it clear he is siding with people of color. As spotted on Mashable the National Football League is about take a very strong stance towards bigotry. On Wednesday, September 2 the commissioner announced that the league’s team will decorate each stadium with “End Racism” and “It Takes All Of Us.” These phrases will receive high visibility placements as each message will be stenciled on a respective end zone; for those that are not in the know those are the scoring areas of a football field. “The NFL stands with the Black community, the players, clubs, and fans confronting systemic racism,” Goodell told NBC Sports. “We will not relent in our work.”...
