During his NBA on TNT commentary yesterday in the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida, Chris Webber was visibly moved when learning that every team scheduled to play yesterday boycotted the games in the name of social justice. After pointing out that it’s been 4 years to the day since Colin Kaepernick first took a knee on the football field and began this discussion on a national level, Chris Went on to explain the importance of such a sign of solid...

See all 4 photos We’ve sat in lots of cars that have valet parked themselves. Most have leaned on sensors, software, and computing power onboard the vehicle to perform this task. You drive into a structure, exit the vehicle, call up the car’s smart-phone app or press a button on the key remote, and the vehicle senses its surroundings, drives at low speed through the structure, finds an open parking space, and pulls into it. When you hail its return, it reverses the procedure. This is a lot like level-five autonomy—with the hardware and software costs that portends—but in a confined space at ultra-low speeds, which lowers the liability concerns considerably. Bosch aims to accelerate adoption of such automated parking by pulling that sensing and communicating power out of the veh...

Elton John has spoken out on the current state of modern pop music, and it’s not pretty. “Everybody else there’s four or five writers on (a track),” John told BBC Radio 6 Music. “You look at most of the records in the charts – they’re not real songs. They’re bits and pieces and it’s nice to hear someone write a proper song.” He continued, “I like people who write songs. And there’s plenty of people that do but a lot of them don’t get played on the radio because they’re too sophisticated and we get songs made by a computer all the time and I’m not interested in that.” John admitted that he’s a fan of both Father John Misty and Conan Gray. SPIN profiled Gray in April, which you can read here. “(Misty) reminds me a little bit of me the way he writes songs,” he said. “Conan’s from America and ...

The upbeat, yet laid-back song captures his vulnerability of that time. “He had been up all night and he came upstairs. It was like 7:00 in the morning and he grabbed my hand and said ‘follow me’, and so I followed him downstairs. The sun was coming through the ...
