BTS is heating up the summer with a bang. The group unveiled their retro-tinged B-side music video for their smash English single “Dynamite” on Monday (Aug. 24). Similar to the original music video, the clip finds the K-pop stars in a number of groovy outfits, busting a move everywhere from in their bedrooms and on a colorful basketball court, to in a record store, coffee shop and outside a disco club. The septet channel John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, breaking out their best hustle and disco finger points in the “B-side” footage. Billboard reported earlier today that Ricch will not be performing on this year’s show, as originally announced. On July 30, when MTV announced the six semi-finalists for its PUSH Best New Artist award, presented by Chime Banking, Roddy Ricch seemed like sure thing to advance to the top three finalists. Metallica Livestream Series Concludes With 2017 Mexico City Show
Metallica is calling it quits on their #MetallicaMondays livestreaming series. The band, which has streamed shows going as far back as 1983, will conclude by airing a performance from Foro Sol in Mexico City from March 3, 2017. “When we started out with this little project, we thought we’d try something that would keep us busy and entertained in the face of the unknown. All of you made it something incredible. We watched you tune in week after week, and you blew us away, showing up to enjoy each show!” the band said in a statement. Earlier this year in the before times, David Byrne was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live for the first time in over 30 years and performed two well-received songs from his American Utopia Broadway show. Spike Lee directed a version of the performance for HBO Max that will be released on Oct. 17 and the first trailer for it dropped today. As you can see below, the film will feature Byrne and his ensemble cast of musicians and singers (11 of them in total) as they perform songs across the Talking Heads singer’s entire catalog.
