However, the details surrounding the rap pioneer’s death are only opening old wounds instead of offering complete closure. According to the Feds, the motive behind the shooting and death of Run-DMC’s DJ, born Jason Mizell, was due to a drug dealing dispute. Per the prosecutors in the case, JMJ had been allegedly dealing cocaine for six years, and squeezing an old partner out of a deal is what lead to his death on October 30, 2002. Ronald “Tinard” Washington, 56, and Karl Jordan Jr., 36, were hit with murder charges for rushing into Jay’s Queens studio and gunning him down. Washington, long ago fingered as an accomplice, was already in prison for an un...

Throughout quarantine, Pat Finnerty has been challenging himself to play every section of a song and sharing it on Instagram Live. And over the weekend, Finnerty, who’s a Dave Grohl superfan, decided to hop on another project called ‘Grohlathon’ as a means to get the Foo Fighters frontman to join him on a cover of Dire Straits’ “Money for Nothing.” And nine hours into his marathon IG Live session, Grohl finally crept in. “What the fuck are you guys doing?” Grohl yelled as he found his cardboard cut-out on Finnerty’s screen. Finerty managed to keep his cool and explain the project to the Grohl, while the Foos guitarist and singer sipped on his red wine. As the convo continued, Finnerty was able to fulfill his dream of playing the Dire Straits track with Grohl, who played drums on the track....
The Ford GT is among a few cars that draw as close as you can get to truly fulfilling the “race car for the road” cliché. After all, the original was designed for the 24 hours of Le Mans endurance race. But before it ever set its tires down in France, the GT had to prove it was up to the job, and its first ever endurance race win came at Daytona in 1966. In order to mark the 55 year anniversary of that stepping-stone victory, Ford is offering the iconic Mk II GT’s racing livery on the GT supercar of today with yet another Heritage Edition. That original Mk II GT featured a unique mostly white paint scheme with red and black accents, and the same colors have been applied to the new car. The blacked-out hood of the original has been kept, but instead of using black paint, F...

And we’re not just talking about what’s under the hood, or in between the wheels, either. Let’s take a deep look at how these off-road trucks fare in a number of categories. With less than three months until the election, there’s an awful lot a stake. And a ton of work to do. That wasn’t lost of “blue” voters, as the 2020 Democratic National Convention kicked off Monday night (Aug. 17), in a virtual format. Orville Peck just might be the ultimate show pony. Don’t believe it? Well, the unconventional Canadian country artist called his latest EP Show Pony. Coincidence? On Monday night, Peck showed us what he’s made of for a late-night TV performance with his compatriot Shania Twain, with an empty dive bar their location. Peck showed us some slick moves, his face hidden from view. Twain brought the class that comes with winning a swag of Grammys. And the pair had a moment with their rendition of “Legends Never Die” on The Tonight Show. Speaking to Billboard earlier this year, Peck admitted he was star-struck by working with Twain. “I’ve been the biggest Shania fan my whole life, and she was literally the last person I got to hang out with before [self-isolating],” he explained. They’...
