Kanye West seems to be in good spirits these days. On Friday (Aug. 7), the 43-year-old rapper and presidential hopeful shared a playful video of himself recreating a viral video about celebrating the upcoming weekend, with the help of his family. In the clip, West is seen dancing alongside a moving golf cart with his 7-year-old daughter North to the song “Push the Feeling On” by the Nightcrawlers. Kim Kardashian can be heard laughing in the background as she encourages their son Saint, 4, to join in on the silliness. {“nid”:”9431471″,”type”:”post”,”title”:”Pregnant Katy Perry Recreates Viral Video for Orlando Bloom: 'It's Friday Then!'”,”relative_path”:”\/articles\/columns\/...
Kanye West’s presidential campaign might have just received its largest blow. As Chicago Tribune reports, the rapper’s name may not appear on the ballot in his home state of Illinois. In order to put his hat in the ring as an Independent nominee, West needed to submit 2,500 written signatures from in-state voters by July 20. He filed 3,218; however, 1,928 were ruled invalid following a state elections board review. West also recently withdrew his petition to appear on the New Jersey ballot for similar reasons. Ye’s lawyers have until August 21 to defend the disputed signatures with evidence, but according to Ed Mullen, one of the lawyers challenging West’s petition, the Chicago native “is virtually certain to be kicked off the [November 3] ballot.” As Consequence of...

After making public apologies and educating himself, Cannon has seemingly put his support behind Kanye West and the Chicago producer’s 2020 presidential campaign. TMZ reports that Cannon was in Los Angeles at LAX masked up and turban intact, with Lion’s Share News making sure to get the entertainer’s thoughts on West’s longshot run at the White House this fall. From TMZ: Nick was at LAX Friday when the photog asked him what he thought of Ye’s run. Answer: “I love it!” Now, the photog took it a step further and asked if he’ll still be with Kanye when he casts ...
Source: Pacific Press / Getty Since June, Condé Nast has been contending with rumblings of a toxic culture at the international media company’s New York headquarters. And now, the two lone Black editorial staff members of Bon Appétit quit the culinary-focused magazine amid tensions over race. The New York Times reports that Ryan Walker-Hartshorn and Jesse Spark left the magazine this past Friday (August 7) after stating that their work at Bon Appétit was consistently undervalued. This comes on the heels of three other journalists of color stating openly they’ve opted out of appearing in the magazine’s video series because of payment disparities in comparison to their white counterparts. “I’m no longer going to be in an environment where my value is constantly underm...

Chloe x Halle served yet another flawless live performance during quarantine in their backyard tennis court, but this time, for “Forgive Me.” Chloe and Halle Bailey transformed the space into a misty forest Thursday night (Aug. 6), invoking a peaceful atmosphere with Halle’s acoustic guitar before the camera pans upward and reveals the 20-year-old R&B singer is indeed wearing a strappy black belt as a top with a complementary sultry mermaid skirt, which is all too fitting for her upcoming role as Ariel in the Disney live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. Her sister Chloe donned a medieval yet modern cutout breastplate-bodysuit hybrid with a billowing skirt for their chic matching black ensembles, right down to the jewels dotting their eyeliner. “Hope you all ...
