From announcing themselves as, “Hi, I’m [insert name] and you’re watching Disney Channel!” to hearing their names echoed throughout their sold-out tours, Disney Channel has provided the earliest stages for the biggest pop stars of the 21st century. Former Mickey Mouse Club members Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake grew up to become the faces of teen pop at the turn of the millennium. They individually went on to snag at least 30 Billboard Hot 100 songs and sell at least 30 million records while maintaining their titles as three of the best-selling musicians in history. The following generation of Disney Channel stars, including Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and the Jonas Brothers, took similar routes to success in their respective car...

Source: photo: screencap Over the years Zoe Saldana has taken some unprovoked missteps in her career including making some suspect statements regarding race and even defending Donald Trump, but it all seemed to begin crashing down for the Dominican actress when she took on the role of Nina Simone in 2016’s biopic, Nina. The backlash was immediate and unforgiving and though she tried to defend her decision to take a role that should’ve gone to a Black woman, that too fell flat on it’s face. Now four years later the La Colombiana actress regrets not only taking on the role, but also not doing enough to ensure it went to the right actress. During an IG Live interview with Pose co-creator and executive producer Steven Canals, the two were speaking about how far Afro-Latinos h...
Source: EA Sports / Madden NFL 21 Mobile There is a new mode coming to Madden NFL 21, and it’s bringing the virtual gridiron action to the yard… literally. Announced today (Aug.5), Madden NFL 21’s big new mode is called “The Yard,” and it’s a homage to the backyard football action we all grew playing and loved as kids. The gameplay is described by EA Sports as “fast-paced, small-sided,” basically the same kind of football action you experience in arcade-style titles like EA Big’s NFL Street for example. But that is not all that is coming with “The Yard.” The mode will also introduce a new in-depth avatar creation tool called the Gillette Style Zone that will allow players to create a one-of-kind custom avatar to use in the g...
Source: Julio Aguilar / Getty The NBA and its superstars get a large chunk of the attention when it comes to speaking on social justice issues and addressing them on the court. BUT the ladies of the WNBA have always been about that life. Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler, who happens to be the co-owner of the Atlanta Dream, is currently getting trolled by WNBA players and deservingly so. Loeffler, who unfortunately holds a seat in the Senate and represents the state of Georgia, is big mad that the league has a Black Lives Matter initiative and allows players to wear warm-up shirts and have messaging supporting the movement on their jerseys. Understandably the players with the support of the WNBA Players Association have called for Loeffler to step down from her role as Atlanta Dream co-own...
