The New York Post reports that Loon, born Chauncey Hawkins (and now Amir Junaid Muhadith after converting to Islam), was released from federal lock up on Wednesday (July 30), and while celebs had lobbied on his behalf, it was mostly due to the coronavirus pandemic. US District Judge Terrence Boyle changed Loon’s sentence to time served, citing that he was not a danger to society and that COVID-19 was an “extraordinary and compelling” reason that he be released. Loon was scheduled to be released next year in August 2021. While a number of celebs petitioned for Loon’s release, one homie was particularly helpful. Reports the NY Post: Fr...

Yesterday (July 29), Chris Rock took to his Instagram page to reveal that he joined Dave Chappelle for his Dave Chappelle & Friends: A Talk With Punchlines, and blessed 100 socially distant audience members with a comedy set for the ages. And if that wasn’t an amazing enough duo for the night, Rock eventually FaceTimed Jim Carrey into the set much to the delight of the crowd in Ohio. The invite-only show on tour has been kept as secretive as the Illuminati thus far. But Rock’s IG post finally shed a little light on how incredible it must be to be in the audience to watch these two comic legends share the same space at the same time. Unfortunately, the cont...

After many of dance music’s corps d’elite sent formal letters to Me...

After teasing “my future” since last week, Billie Eilish finally released her beautifully eerie new song. Starting off as a jazz ballad, the song kicks into quicker gear that causes you to bounce as Eilish’s vocals float on about self-love. “I’ve changed my plans / ‘Cause I’m in love with my future / Can’t wait to meet her / And I’m in love / But not with anybody else / Just want to get to know myself,” she sings before the tempo picks up. The singer’s brother/producer/co-writer Finneas revealed in March that they were working on new material. “We’ve started working on the new album, and I think the best thing we can do is stay out of our own way,” he told Vulture. “The first album was pretty pure in its intention.
