Euro-Market Toyota Corolla GR Sport Is the Yin to the Apex Edition’s Yang

The GR Sport won’t make its way to the United States, though. For now, the only GR-branded product Toyota plans on bringing to the U.S. is the Supra (we’ll see how long that lasts, though). But that doesn’t mean we can’t look on from afar. The whole point of the Corolla GR Sport, per Toyota, is to bring the Gazoo Racing brand to other segments and thereby introduce it to younger buyers. Both Mercedes and BMW have done something similar with their AMG and M sub-brands, which offer less powerful variants as sporty entry-level options to many of the two performance arms’ racier models. The GR Sport is essentially an accent package to give the Euro-market Corolla a little bit more visual oomph. There are small changes all over the exterior of the car: black m...

The 2020 Ram Heavy Duty Limited Black Edition Hates Chrome, Color

What’s the cure for too much chrome? Why, a monochromatic exterior—which is exactly what you’ll find on Ram‘s latest blacked-out special edition for its HD trucks, which won our 2020 Truck of the Year award. Taking cues from the 2020 Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition, the 2020 Ram Heavy Duty Limited Black Edition is a 3/4- or 1-ton truck absolutely peppered with black exterior accents. The idea of a black-on-black truck isn’t a revolutionary trend—after all, other factory and aftermarket customizers have adopted the theme for years—but instead of dying out, it seems to be here to stay for a while. Even if it is a bit tiresome, we’ll admit the all-black look is a mysterious, somewhat sophisticated, menacing, and—importa...

Mau y Ricky Say Their Latin Remix of John Legend’s ‘Bigger Love’ Was a ‘Pinch Me Moment’

John Legend‘s “Bigger Love” is getting bigger with a Latin remix featuring Mau y Ricky that will drop Friday (July 24). Ahead of its highly-anticipated release, Billboard spoke to Legend, Mau and Ricky about the joining of forces for this feel-good pop track that celebrates love and resilience. It also becomes the brothers’ first English-language collaboration. “I don’t know if we’re the best for the job but we for sure will be the quickest and the most efficient and the most hungry and excited for it,” Mau tells Billboard. “We’re just so grateful because to be honest, John is one of the artist that we admire the most so this is crazy and we still can’t believe it.” The making of the remix took no more than a mont...

Animated Audra McDonald Sings Hilarious Tune Written by Fiona Apple for ‘Central Park’

Fiona Apple has contributed her iconic lyricism to the upcoming season finale of Apple TV+’s musical cartoon, Central Park. The song, “New York Doesn’t Like Your Face,” will be sung by the episode’s guest star Audra McDonald in an attempt trying to convince Bitsy, played by Stanley Tucci, that she needs a face-lift. “Bitsy, it’s the only way to cultivate the clout,” McDonald sings in a snippet shared today. “Haven’t you ever wondered, dear, why all your staff carry cans of mace? / New York doesn’t like your face!” Watch below, and catch the whole episode on July 24. DJ Khaled Dishes About Preparing ‘Knockout’ Hits for Drake, Teases Megan Thee Stallion Collab

DJ Khaled FaceTimed Apple Music’s Zane Lowe for an interview while jet skiing and wearing his signature “We The Best” face mask because why not? But the 44-year-old megaproducer wouldn’t describe their conversation as an interview, per se. “This is definitely the first interview I ever did, or I would call this a celebration, on a FaceTime, on a jet ski…. Yes, yes we are definitely celebrating!” He’s currently preparing for the release of his 12th album Khaled Khaled, an eponymous autobiographical body of work as his real name is Khaled Mohamed Khaled. In typical DJ Khaled fashion, he didn’t just pack one major key, but two majors keys when he dropped a couplet of Drake-assisted singles “POPSTAR” and...

It wouldn’t be right if Thundercat didn’t write a song for the new ThunderCats series, right? With all that’s wrong in the world, you can take solace that at least they got something right with this one. At a virtual Comic-Con panel that took place today (July 23), not only was the bassist known as Stephen Bruner enlisted to write a track for ThunderCats Roar, but he’ll also be appearing in the series as Grune The Destroyer, a villain that appeared in the original series from the 1980s. In typical Thundercat fashion, his tweet on the matter summed it up nicely. Thundercat’s “Dragonball Durag” made our list of the 50 Best Songs of 2020 (So Far). Struggle Rap Pioneer Vanilla Ice Has A Biopic Coming For Some Reason

Source: John Atashian / Getty Vanilla Ice blazed the charts three decades ago with his massive hit “Ice Ice Baby” en route to becoming a Hip-Hop punchline in the 1990s. While the Dallas rapper has reinvented himself several times, a green light was given to go forward with a biopic titled To The Extreme, giving this generation a glimpse into the life of one of the biggest struggle rappers of all time. To The Extreme was initially announced at the top of 2019, and The Wrap has confirmed that Dave Franco has landed the starring role of Robert Van Winkle, who becomes Vanilla Ice. Nike Gives Us A Sneak Peek At LeBron James Upcoming LeBron 18 Signature Sneaker

Source: Harry How / Getty The Nike LeBron 17 is still currently dropping sick colorways, but when LeBron James finally touches the court in Orlando, he will probably be wearing his new signature sneaker. Eagle-eyed sneakerheads quickly noticed in a picture featuring dynamic duo LeBron James and Anthony Davis that Bron was wearing some pretty interesting looking sneakers. Fans immediately speculated that Lakers’ all-star was wearing the LeBron 18, the next pair of kicks in his beloved signature sneaker line. While you really can’t make much of the sneaker from the photo, it looks like this iteration will be a mid-top sneaker. A video clip surfaced giving us a better look at the sneakers and they look pretty damn dope. Well aware of the chatter around the LeBron 18,  thanks to the above...
