Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Says Republican Congressman Called Her A “F*cking B*tch”

Source: Stephanie Keith / Getty In the increasingly partisan push-and-pull of Washington politics, testiness is becoming a hallmark between the opposing members of Congress. A line was possibly crossed however when a Republican Party congressman reportedly referred to Democratic Party congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a “f*cking b*tch” after approaching her outside the U.S. Capitol steps. New York’s Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, or AOC as she’s often referred to as, retold the story of an encounter she had Florida’s Rep. Ted Yoho, stating she was “accosted” by her Republican colleague verbally. AOC retweeted a story from The Hill regarding the reported verbal exchange between her and Yoho, hitting back at her counterpart in a caption for the retweet. “I never spoke to Rep. Yoho before he dec...

Source: Spencer Platt / Getty Chris Rock decided to dig in his vault to drop some unreleased material that is both relevant and comedic. On Monday (Jul 21), Chris Rock took to Instagram to share an unreleased 2003 parody video where he transposed his face on Andre 3000’s body for 3 Stacks iconic “Hey Ya” video. Rock’s version takes a serious but hilariously presented look at race, calling out social injustices at the time that are ironically still an issue today. With the caption, “Crackers,” the Bigger and Blacker comedian dropped the song noting that it’s from “deep” within his comedic vault. “🎶Crackers🎶. Here’s a deep cut from the vault.” This isn’t the first time that Chris Rock has referenced his older material as a social “I told you so,” last week the comedy icon pos...

Harriet Tubman’s Great-Niece Gives Kanye West A Much-Needed History Lesson

Source: SAUL LOEB / Getty Whether or not Kanye West is not taking his meds, one thing is obvious, his lack of knowledge when it comes to African American history. Kanye West’s zany presidential campaign rally he held on Sunday (Jul.19) not only has reportedly landed him in hot water with his wife and her family but with the relatives of the iconic slave abolitionist, Harriet Tubman. During the sh*t show event, West inaccurately claimed that Tubman didn’t free the slaves. “Harriet Tubman never actually freed the slaves, she just had the slaves go work for other white people.” Tina Wyatt, Harriet Tubman’s great-niece, spoke with TMZ and said the rapper was “dead wrong” and pointed out if Tubman didn’t free slaves Kanye would still be on a plantation, wouldn’t be able to spew the nonsense he ...

This Dakar-Style Porsche 911 Can Tackle Steep Driveways, Actual Deserts

The go-(almost)-anywhere Porsche 911 “safari” trend is in full swing, and we’ve seen concept from Gemballa, Ruf, and many others. Now Delta4x4 of Germany is getting into the action with this customer commission, visualized here and due to be built in 2021. The car is a 992-generation Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, and the customer’s wish is to drive straight to Dakar from his home in southern Germany. To do that, this car will need a bit of help on the rough patches. This is a mission the 911—and its 4×4 953 and 959 siblings—have famously done before. And so, too, has Delta4x4, albeit with a much lower profile. In 1982, the company prepared a Suzuki Jimny and completed the Paris to Dakar race in it—no small feat, even if it doesn’t rise to the level of Porsche&#...

Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Xago Edition Is a Hectare of Hexagons

We live in a virtual world, and Lamborghini is celebrating this new reality with a very rare special edition with a name as weird as the one Elon Musk assigned to his kid on Twitter. Limited to ten customers who personalize their car virtually, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Xago Edition is easier to pronounce and features a hexagon-heavy design theme inside and out. A fading hexagonal motif joins the fading hexagonal name (“Xago” is just, well, the middle part of the word “hexagon”) and is splashed prominently across the sides of the Aventador, for starters. Why hexagons? Lamborghini apparently took inspiration from “the hexagon cloud shapes at the North Pole on the planet Saturn and the strength of the hexagon in nature.” This “hexagonita” p...

The €990,000 initiative, titled RESTART-19, is being funded jointly between the federal states of Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. At the time of the report’s publishing, 775 volunteers had signed up to attend the show. The organizers of RESTART-19 say the objective of the concert is to “identify a framework” for how larger events may tak...

The Delsener/Slater Presents co-founder was a longtime associate of concert business consolidator Robert Sillerman. Mitch Slater, an industry pioneer who helped shape the modern concert promotion business, died on Tuesday after an extended illness. He was 59. “Our bond was as strong as it gets,” Slater’s older brother, former Capitol Records CEO Andrew Slater, tells Billboard. “When he started out in music, I said, ‘If you could be half as good in business as you are as a brother, you’ll be a great success.’ And he far exceeded that mark.” In 1988, Slater partnered with Ron Delsener to form Delsener/Slater Presents, which became one of the most successful independent concert promotion companies in the U.S. “As brilliant as Ronnie was, Mitch brought some real business acumen to it,” s...
