deadmau5 Teases New VR Project with Epic Games’ Unreal Engine
deadmau5 took to Instagram recently to share a teaser of a forthcoming VR project. The electronic music icon was mum on the details, however, writing nothing but an arcane caption along with the video that reads, “A breed of goat.” The teaser does divulge that the project was produced in collaboration with Epic Games‘ gameframe Unreal Engine as well as Geodesic Games and Upsurge Studios. The teaser closes in typically cryptic deadmau5 style with a nebulous message that says “Codename #Oberhasli.” An Oberhasli is a breed of dairy goat, which explain’s deadmau5’s caption but does nothing to demystify it in terms of the forthcoming project. After a brief hiatus, Billie Joe Armstrong seems to be back with consistent installments of his No Fun Monday cover series… only, on Fridays. Video game developer Electronic Arts moved to take down the team’s racist nickname and logo for hits Madden NFL 21 release. Kotaku reports that Madden NFL 21, which comes out this August, will undergo changes with the removal of the slur that has served as the Washington team name for years. It’s a 1950 Ford F-6 two-ton dump truck that does wheelies, and no one planned any of it. The Roadkill project truck known as Stubby Bob started with a surprise in episode 44 when Mike Finnegan bought the truck off a farm as a gag. We then shortened the wheelbase from 158 to 104 inches for no apparent reason and walked away from it when the brakes didn’t work well enough for a road trip. England to Reopen Indoor Music Venues in August
While the United States continues to struggle with containing COVID-19, across the pond, England is gearing up to reopen indoor music venues next month part of its Phase 4 reopening plan. On Friday, UK’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport announced “theaters, music halls and other venues” will be able to host indoor concerts starting Aug. 1, following a successful pilot program with the London Symphony.
